Planned over 3 years ago. Is there an update?

I've moved over to ProtonMail, but note that I cannot sync my phone contacts (Android) as I do with Gmail. I hope this will be rectified soon as I really want to stop using Gmail as much as possible for my private information. I've done a manual import of contacts, but this is not practical every time one adds a new contact. Thank you.

Applies to Android, Apple - all mobiles.
Contacts also need to sync with other mobile apps such as phone, messaging, calendar. Contacts are the very CORE around which most mobile activity revolves.

I am a Plus user and the lack of this feature really bothers me, as I have to move all my contacts from my phone manually when I buy a new phone. Please introduce this feature. Thanks!

This is a duplicate feature request of https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/284483-protonmail/suggestions/7158338-carddav-server-for-contacts-synching-contacts
Protonmail Admin - could you merge these two requests please?

I'm disappointed to still be waiting for this functionality, which is essential to me and is stopping me from fully migrating to ProtonMail.
Some sort of update from ProtonMail would be appreciated.

I would also like to know when. The missing contact feature is holding me back to use Protonmail entirely. Thanks in advance.

Any update on the timeline? As well, I think there should be a setting to enable or disable this sync (in case people don't want their phone to have access).

Protonmail team, please merge the votes of these items. Cheers

I'd love to dump Gmail entirely, and the only thing left to achieve that goal is to have a synced contacts app on my phone.

When?

This (+ a calendar with sync) is holding me back from moving over from Google to a paid ProtonMail account. This is a really basic feature, please provide.

Allow the “upload contacts” option in iOS to also append changes into contacts. All contact data, including pictures, should be included in the contact upload.
Add an option in the iOS app to download and append changes to contacts from the ProtonMail app to the phone.
I understand there are difficulties doing the sync automatically, but these changes should at least be possible to do manually.

Really, that's a basic feature, very much needed. Please!

Great to see this is planned. Any idea when it will be released?
Clumsy work around I'm using right now: Periodically export contacts and then importing to my phone via cloud drive. Workable but a pain!

This is a key functionality to be able to fully use protonmail. It is inconvenient to manage two separate contact lists, one on the phone and the other one in protoncontacts.

Can't wait for this! either this or a Proton Contact app.

I hope this comes soon! I would love to be able to drip iCloud all together to sync my contacts directly with proton.
