ProtonMail Bridge for Android and iOS
There are already great mail clients on Android and iOS available. It would be nice if I could use them with protonmail as well.

Is it possible to develop something like protonbridge for iOS and Android? It will be easier if I only use one email client in my phone.

It would be amazing there was a Protonmail Bridge for Iphone... super frustrated that I went through all this work to get my Protonmail account to work with Outlook only to find out that it won't work on my phone.

Was about to suggest this myself! Would absolutely love the ability to keep all my mail in one app (outllook or mail in iOS), not only for the added simplicity, but also given that the user experience of the ProtonMail app is just not yet at the level of these other, more mature options. - 3 Votes

Yes this would be nice to have integrated into my BlackBerry Hub on my KeyOne as well.
Of course, if it's possible without jeopardizing security which is the foundation of all this.
It would be great and a convenience but maybe not worth it if we sacrifice privacy and security as we already do by every other means out there today. -

This is implemented on Windows by having a pseudo local mail serve which on the backend communicates with ProtonMail like the Protonmail mail client but also interface with the local mail client. Don't know why this couldn't work on iOS with Apple Mail being configured with the local Bridge server and the Bridge running as a separate process in the background communicating via local TCP/IP. Of course, some might think it would compete with the Protonmail client but I like having all my mail in one place.

Support for third party mobile apps, e.g., Outlook, Macmail,Thunderbird, as you have done for use on the desktop. It is important to be able to read and manage emails on mobile devices while off -line, which the current app doesn't allow. I understand that this may be difficult, but other vendors seem to have been able to do it.

If there could be a way to import PST files (or even OSTs).
Office365 doesn't have IMAP implemented and so having the bridge connect via ActiveSync or using a PST would have saved me hours in migrating and in email recovery.
Again, not your product group's fault but if I could have had this functionality, it would inspire to love your product more than i already do..>hahaha

If there’s a way Please please please create a bridge for iOS!!! I can’t figure out how to sync my email to respond to certain applications

This is impossible on iOS for technical reasons.
Neither will it be on Android 8.0+ -

Ability to securely access and have your e-mail pushed and synced with Apple Mail or Outlook on iOS, as well as Android mail clients with minimal compromise to security. Of course some compromise will have to be made but the ProtonMail app gets under my skin...

This is the most wanted feature I would like to see myself. I would give it 10 votes if I could.
This may not work on iOS but I know it can work on Andriod since I have seen apps on Google Play that allow you to run web servers so you can run PHP files just like XAMPP.
A downside to this is it could drain the battery and a way to reduce it is to have a setting were it will not scan for incoming email constantly but instead scan for incoming email every 5 minutes or 10 minutes. I use the Aquamail app on Andriod and I have it set to only scan every 5 minutes for emails.

No tiene sentido. Se perdería la confidencialidad y tú y tus mensajes estaríais bajo la política de Google.

This would be great!
Our company is using Protonmail, and we are using Blackberry KeyOne as work phones.
This would be a great feature, that would allow us to have our mail into Blackberry Hub (IMAP/SMTP client). -

I second this request
I would like to use the standard Android Mail App to login to ProtonMail

Although ProtonMail's encryption makes it inaccessible to IMAP clients, would it be possible to open ProtonMail up to 3rd parties that could support its encryption methods? I imagine that mobile clients like Airmail and Spark wouldn't mind adding special support for ProtonMail if it's possible for them.
The ProtonMail mobile app lacks a lot of modern features, and the fact that the service is locked into that app is a huge drawback. I'm sure the ProtonMail team is busy with many other priorities, so why not let 3rd parties step in?
