The UI is almost "there". I love the new icons and the direction the interface is going, but there is a LOT of purple going on! I hate to say it, but I love the modern feel of Gmail and the ability to use photos as backgrounds for the UI. I love everything about proton. I just haven't been able to capture the same "zen vibe" that I had with Gmail or OnMail. When I saw the article in the Proton Blog about transitioning towards a non-profit structure, and the graphic that was used with it, I loved the thought of proton having the same "look" as that graphic. I loved seeing the word "Proton" in anything other than purple.

A simple button to change from "Dark" to "Light" theme.

Would be great to have a variety of themes that weren't so overwhelmingly color specific. I like the violet/ purple color themes in their various forms ok (I realize that is part of the brand), but it would be great to have options with more neutral color pallets that aren't so dramatically contrasty or specifically, well..., "themed."
A pallet with various grades of grays on the lighter spectrum would be great for instance. Thanks for providing such a great app + service, appreciate what you guys are doing!! -

Inverts the color in emails just like on mobile and use a dark background for the email composer.

Perhaps it would be possible to add personalized themes. Or you can download themes from GitHub, which you can then import/use.

I like the idea, but if they do, People must be able to see all the colors even if they are color blind.

Hi there,
I use protonmail only because of it's beautiful color theme. Is it possible to have an option to use the old designs?
Best regards,

Look, guys, I get what your trying to do, and I agree that everything you said was an upgrade in your presentation Email was an upgrade. Except for the color scheme/new logos. I know there is no going back from a transition like this, but did you have to remove the loading symbol? That was the best loading symbol ever! And the login screen is the absolute worst. Before it was the idyllic Swiss Alps, and now it's...an abstract purple band. Please, I beg you, change that at least.
Another thing is the different plans. They are a bit confusing on the summary cards, and not until you click on the "Explore Other Plans" is it clear what does what. Can you change the wording a bit on those? Thanks! -

I'd love to see a Proton theme based on Pop!_OS's GTK theme: https://github.com/pop-os/gtk-theme.

The new purple is glaring and garish, maybe make the purple change to another color, other than the also garish orange, in themes?

This color choice for "New Message" button in Carbon Theme is too bright. It's just burning my eyes. Would be great to have it less evident.
Thank you.

This is critical to me, I'm left with a choice of themes - legacy (if I must), or contrast (barely tolerable). I use light themes universally, so the dark ones are not good for me.

It's all too purple. It's unusably purple. I get that that's now your brand colour, but please let us have colours that are less painful to look at.

Yes, please.
The new theme has way too much purple and is to bright. It hurts my eyes.Same goes for the new homepage design.

>> it appears semi-greyed out
This is not a v4 theme, the differences are not only in colors.
This is an old legacy theme (v1 or v2, not sure). -

btw you can revert to a sort of half-way theme with settings->theme->legacy. I'm not sure why it appears semi-greyed out, but it's my favourite option of the new options

The new default v5 theme isn't as good as default v4 theme.
Please, add option to switch back to v4 theme.
