spell checker for writing emails.
A spell checker has been available on almost all email accounts for the past 2 decades, but not on yours. Come on, get in tune with the 21st century and for all those who don't have brains enough to spell correctly in the first place.

Yes! Please Spell check. I have had protonmail for about 6 months and just realized it was not spell checking. I am so used to it with Outlook, Gmail, Word...basically EVERYTHING ELSE...I was floored that it is not included. Please Spell Check!!

I really need a multi language spellcheck!.
I cannot spell= I need a spell check in English and French bad.
If you cannot provide a spellcheck I will have to go back to my old email just for this function and I shall be sorry. -

I agree but it should be spell-check within grammar sequence and I too will pay for my subscription when this happens

Out of pure poverty I use my (paid) Proton Plus e-mail address via IMAP in my desktop mail program Thunderbird from Mozilla to be able to spell my outgoing e-mails. Don't expect to get an answer from Proton because they never reply to 'How can we improve ProtonMail?'.

Before sending my e-mails, I use normally a spellcheck because I could always have made a mistake. This feature is not available in the High End Protonmail. I think this feature could be a must in 2021. The spellchecker must be available for multiple languages. A handy feature that gives Proton a big lead over the competition. A spellcheck feature is a must in 2021 because doing business is becoming increasingly international, which means that you have to be able to write e-mails in various languages. You have certainly spelled them out because other languages are not your native language.

Surprised it doesn't have this feature. I've simply written messages in either MS Word, which autocorrects most everything, and then cut and paste when finished into protonmail and send it. Clunky, but works for now.

I have excellent spelling but every now and then I might need a spellchecker! Thank you!

I came up with a Spell Check solution ..... Copy, cut and paste your proposed email into your other email account, for instance Gmail. Then send the email to yourself and before it sends, it will cycle you through their standard spell-check function. Once you get the email from yourself with the typos corrected, then copy, cut, paste it back into ProtonMail ... Yes, I know, this is pure bush league crap but until ProtonMail adds this function, there's no other great way other than to get your spouse to re-read it before sending >;-)

I have started using ProtonMail and have noticed many typos. Is there a way you can add a spell-checker function to outgoing emails?

Nowadays, web browsers have one built-in. Simply right-click in a text area (such as PM's "New message") and select "Spell check"

Totally agree!!! I just opened an account and I might just close it, as it does not have many of the free perks you get with Gmail. I left Gmail for privacy issues.
Also another issue I am having is ProtonMail downloads all attachments - does not allow you to open it in the email.

As I type this comment in a web browser (Dissenter), or compose an email (PM's "New message" text box), I simply right-click in the text box, and "Spell check" appears in the pop-up menu.
