Set timezone
Setting timezone instead of taking it from system.
I think there is a real privacy issue of including the system timezone on emails for webmail (please help us understand if this is not the case).
Could this please be based on the timezone the user-specifies (or default to system/browser if none is specified).

Just wanted to support this one as well. Since Proton is mostly directed towards privacy concerned users, most of us use browsers that show the system timezone as UTC which shows the wrong times for e-mails using Proton Mail. Please allow us to set the timezone of our choosing!

Especially important now that the email client is more closely integrated with the calendar -- meeting requests are difficult to accept when they're shown in UTC.
Maybe just use the timezone setting from the Calendar? Or have one setting at the account level that covers both apps?

The lack of this feature makes the web client almost unusable.

Important feature! Appointments are shown in the wrong timezone. I have privacy.resistFingerprinting enabled in Firefox, which makes the browser's timezone appear as UTC. I obviously do not want to turn this setting off for privacy reasons.

Yes to the above AND enable different calendars to select different primary time-zones as a default. I travel a lot, so when I set-up an event in a specific timezone, I select the specific timezone in the advanced options UI, so when I'm local to that timezone, my events show up at the correct time for THAT timezone, instead of at my default primary timezone--where I live--as it does now...which is VERY confusing when attempting to plan my schedule in CA when I'm in say Uruguay. This also affects notifications/alerts. I've added my vote here but there's more on this at https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/284483-protonmail/suggestions/43701423-calendar-allow-me-to-set-different-primary-time-z

I would like to be able to set my time zone if just for privacy issues.

Is the timezone really included in the header that gets sent? I can see that when I hit 'reply' then the the message being replied to says "so and so wrote at date and time" without reference to timezone. For privacy purposes, I guess that could just be redacted?
But if it's easy to do, then I could see myself setting the time for ProtonMail (and later for ProtonCalendar) when it's feasible to travel overseas again.

Totally agree! Would be great to select the timezone for printing purposes. Also, for travelers this would be a really great improvement.
The Calendar from Apple, for example, allows me to set the timezone on the top right corner of the screen, would be great to see this option in ProtonMail as well!
