Central desktop app for all Proton features (Mail, Drive, VPN, Calendar)
Modular design & parallel developement to Proton Bridge for other desktop E-Mail-Clients

I think some of the comment may be misunderstanding. A Proton Hub (or similar) app does not need to be 1 singular app, that merges everything else. It can be something like JetBrain Toolbox or... I think Adobe has something similar, where there is a "central" app, which allows you to (un)install different modules through it while also potentially providing APIs for the app to talk to each other. Antivirus software sometimes does this as well, at least I remember that Kaspersky did this, and Acronis does it. If it is like this - I definitely support this idea.

Somehow we need to maintain separation, so that we can view the mail and calendar windows at the same time.

One Proton Hub application with the ability of opening mail client, calendar, contacts, drive syncing, vpn etc... all at once loged in (only one logging in proton hub).
Also it would be nice if i could install and update other applications through it. Or preferebly auto update. Then I would just install/update one application and the rest would be beside me.

Have all proton products be available in one downloadable app across multiple platforms.
Bonus feature: Have functionality of Thunderbird/Outlook where you can add your different email inboxes, calendars, etc.

This is currently an option on the mail web app and it would be nice to see this in a dedicated desktop app that can work on line and off line.

Nice idea…

Good to have dedicated desktop apps (currently only vpn) and even to integrate them with the OS (i.e. seeing calendar events on the OS time drop-down). With this said, a single application for all proton products isn't for me

I like the apps to be separate, as I believe that this is more secure

I would definitely stop paying if these merged. Frequently I only want VPN running because I’m presenting or in some situation where my mail and calendar should be off. There are plenty of situations where having all four spring to life simultaneously like an even *more* evil incarnation of Outlook would be undesirable.
