Proton Contacts mobile app
Hellove!
Yesterday I used Google Contacts (and/or the default Huawei contacts) app on my Android phone.
Tomorrow, I will use the secure and lovely Proton Contacts app for Android (and possibly iOS - there are probably iOS users who would want this, too).
From this Proton Contacts app, I will also be able to do my regular calls, browse call logs, see favourite contacts and groups for contacts, and utilize a search function for it all.
Please strongly consider making this tomorrow today, Proton Team <3
Thank you!

I need an IOS contacts app ASAP. Very irksome to have to go through Proton email on an iphone or ipad just to get to a contact. Please…. Pretty please? Also WHEN are we going to see Calendar and Contacts a default choice in iOS settings?

I have upvoted this one! Good idea.
Can we also think about asking Proton for long-term paid plans instead of the short 24 months one. I have created a petition under the below header. If we store all our contacts under Proton, I also want to have control over pricing in the longer term!
LONG TERM Plans - LIFETIME Plans !!!

This, or like in Outlook, the ability to "sync contacts" in the protonmail app to have them appear in Android contacts !!!!!

Yeah this is pretty critical, especially as Proton is clearly trying to make an ecosystem that competes with google. A Contacts app that integrates with Email and with Calendar (for showing birthdays) would be the biggest missing link right now that would make it possibly to fully move off of google and onto proton.

STOP EVERYTHING ELSE and get this done FIRST!

Yes, I have different high-end contacts for different companies. It would be nice to have a vault feature that you could then share with different associates for specific companies. (By having different vaults you can separate those contacts and share only the needed ones.)

Uhh, yes please! I'm daydreaming about Proton Contacts as a standalone solution on a weekly basis. @Proton pretty please!

Hi
I saw a post ( https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/945460-general-ideas/suggestions/43584696-new-protoncontacts-app-as-main-contact-app-on-mobi ) talking about an contact app.
I propose a contact app, but a phone app too. There is some open source phone app, but only Google one reconize spam, location, enterprise name etc. Even when a bakery or a plumber is calling me I see the name of the store on my phone when it's ringing.
So, same thing but without tracker would be welcome :)

I need such an app too; or at least a convenient way to use my Proton contacts in Android, for calling / sending an SMS...
For now my contacts are just getting out of sync, as I cannot quickly use the Proton ones and thus use another contact service.
That's the last important feature for me to get rid of Google Contact (or similar) and to have a consistent communication journey :-) -

Protons services are incredible. But 1 service, that would make it complete is a separate contacts app.

Same request on MacOs so you can in both case access easily your contacts.
To tell it differently the contacts are not only for sending mail but also to call people or to know their address. -

Would love this, but rolled into the Proton Mail app. Somewhat like Microsoft's Outlook app.

Make a separate "Contacts" app for phones.

This would be very helpful, I currently still use my Google account for contacts because I can not sync Proton contacts to my phone.

This feature is very much needed for those trying to replace services from big tech on their mobile devices.
In my opinion it will increase user adoption and retention, especially if properly advertised to current user base and appropriate security and privacy oriented channels. -

Yeah it's neccesary and more private than Google, good suggestion!!

I prefer to use my application on Mac OS to write e-mail but if I don't have my contact in cannot work. I don't use iCloud from Apple at all.
I have the same point on my Android smartphone, I would like to b able to send SMS and call people from my mobile easily and it is not user friendly from ProtonMail application.
Other feature, Is it also possible to categorise contact and have it synchronise on Mac and on Mobile and those categories not be mandatory associated to an e-mail.
Many thanks.

Contacts having phone number support without contacts having an app for phone kinda threw me off. +1.
Would help make migrating from another provider easier. Without this another provider's contacts app has to be used(like google/apple) for phone/daily life and keeping proton's contacts up to date thus becomes a dubious chore.
