It'll be brilliant to we have an proper contact application on Android synchronized with proton mail

This is a definite must, keep contacts synced to Proton is a nightmare right now. We need mobile OS sync contacts.

Not to mention, the entirety of contact management on Proton sucks. There doesn't seem to be any thought put into it at all.

Please create a robust, user-friendly, customizable and stable contact manager. Apple's contact manager is truly HORRIBLE. Features would include customizing fields you use all the time, hiding fields that you never use for your contacts, and EASY ways to export, print to labels, etc. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU

This would be fantastic. Definitely worth implementing if possible. I'd be happy to pay for the value I recieve from it as well

Seamless contact/vcard sync across platforms - from adding a contact to your mobile to it appearing in the autocomplete for emails. This would be incredibly useful as I often get contacts when i'm out with just my mobile - it would save me a lot of headache if there was some way for proton to automatically import them to my drive/account straight away.

I suspect this would also reduce friction for new users, and overall it would significantly improve the user experience.

It's really incredible how bad almost every contacts / address book app is. I know the stock Apple contacts app is pretty tightly coupled to iOS, so I'm sure it's a challenge to build something better that still works as expected within how iOS does things.

There are just so many seemingly basic things that it seems like no other contacts app does properly, e.g.:
- Keeping track of old information for a contact (e.g., past addresses, past phone numbers, defunct email addresses, etc.)
- Allowing for multiple current jobs
- Multiple profile pictures
- Sharing phone numbers or emails between multiple contacts (e.g., landlines, office lines, commercial email addresses)
- Keeping track of key dates for individual contacts (e.g., upcoming events, travel)
- Dedicated contact types for chat bots, 2FA texts, businesses, receipts, etc.
- Public shared non-editable contacts + info for known entities & senders (e.g., businesses, companies, apps/services), just like caller ID or Yelp
- Tighter integration with social media and third-party accounts
- Recent communications with a person (e.g., emails, texts)

I could go on and on.

I would like to see a Contacts app not only on iOS but also on the Mac. Currently it is buried in ProtonMail which makes it really awkward to search for a simple phone number...

Hello, I would like to get a Proton app that works like Google's "Contacts" app. So, an application that can add contacts without having to be connected to the internet. An application with which we can manage our ProtonMail contacts and also our telephone contacts, like on a Google account.

I am bought in to your services, because I wanted to leave Google behind this would really help

+1 for this. I am currently in the process of converting over from Google to Proton. The number one limitation I am finding atm is the lack of contacts functionality. Please look at getting this on the roadmap.

This is one of the best ever ideas for Proton ecosystem. At present, contacts are buried in protonmail on Android rendering it pretty low on the usefulness scale, an app with the ability to call out from or text or email directly from the contact would be e-heaven. Please prioritise this. Thank you Proton and keep up all the amazing work your are doing, you are leading the way on everything you do.

One of the most important things:
Google has too much Information about our contacts!

I nearly save everything in my contacts:
Favorite song, birthday, number, address.. and so on.

This should be a secret.

The contacts app could also be synchronised with Proton Mail. So it's easy to send a mail.
Even from a computer.

Move the contacts list from Proton Mail to its own app or to Proton Pass.

The main problem with the Proton Contacts app is not the Web interface per se but the necessity to synchronise your contacts with your iPhone/Android device, as their native apps won't keep your contacts data encrypted.

To have a smooth transition from my Google Account to Proton, having a way to sync my contacts automatically seems to be a requirement/necessity. Still, I would expect it to keep my data secure, so it also needs a way to sync with my device contacts or integrate with the Phone, SMS and (probably) messaging apps (such as WhatsApp, Telegram or Signal).

Is this feature planned Proton?

Proton Contacts standalone app is so needed. It is currently buried in mail and not convenient for "real-day" access when time is of the essence. Bring the app, please.

I need an IOS contacts app ASAP. Very irksome to have to go through Proton email on an iphone or ipad just to get to a contact. Please…. Pretty please? Also WHEN are we going to see Calendar and Contacts a default choice in iOS settings?
