Add before/after action on folders
I am writing to suggest a possible new feature associated with the “Folders and labels” page under mail “Folders ->settings.”
By way of some background, I am a relatively new user. My preference has been to employ many folders in the three-tier hierarchy. (There are scores of folders, most at the third level and fewer as you progress to the higher levels.) I use labels to indicate things like status and priority.
My proposal for your consideration is the addition of an “add after/before” action for each folder in addition to the existing edit and delete actions. This would save the step of dragging a new folder where it is intended or using the sort feature. The existing functionality that allows placement in the hierarchy at the end of a group and then dragging or sorting to establish the desired order works, but the proposal can save one or two steps. It is a convenience thing.
