How can we improve Proton Mail?

  12. New basic upgrade tier

    Removes all the requests to update, the default "Sent with Proton Mail secure email." and promo's maybe an optional switch in settings.

    The cost is simply a monthly donation with a minimum maybe $1-2 a month but no maximum for people that want to donate more.

    Could be a good option for people that have everything they need with the base proton mail so don't have any incentive to upgrade.

    We now have the "Undo Send" which is a great achievement.
    Sometimes, we need to bypass that and send the email immediately.

    Next to "Undo Send" I'd add "Send now" which bypasses the timer and sends the email immediately.

  14. Android Mobile App - fingerprint auth issue

    Sometimes, on Android devices with Fingerprint authentication enabled the prompt closes.
    At that point, the keypad is displayed.
    Clicking on the fingerprint button on the bottom left of the screen doesn't work properly. It usually takes many attempts to re-open the fingerprint prompt and it's frustrating. It is easier to close and re-open the app.

    Many mistakes can be avoided by asking to check recipients and attachments before sending email.

    Most people have probably made this mistake once or twice, and depending on who or what, it can have different consequences.

    This feature would prevent accidental data leakage.

  16. Allow to edit the "Display name" when composing a new message 

    In the "New message" composer window, we need to see and quickly change the default fullname next to the "From" address, just before sending the e-mail.

Even better, add a "Sender" field, to specify an organization-wide or role-based e-mail address, or to send a message as, or on behalf of, a person or group.

    It’s great to be able to connect to Proton in the following way on your laptop:
    1. Show a unique QR code on the screen connection
    2. Scan the QR code with your Protonmail app
    3. And you're logged !!!
