Split address mode - separate emails into different inboxes
Separate email addresses are for separate things so it would be helpful to just click an email address from the menu and see only those emails sent to that specific ProtonMail address.
Multiple inboxes.
We are reviewing this idea to get closer to a clean inbox for all our users. We will let you know once we have more updates

I feel this feature is essential. I would like to create several email addresses (aliases), for different purposes (a few different business ideas), and I would not like to see all mails sent to all those addresses in one inbox. I assumed we could have different addresses listed on the left, and with one click view the inbox of that address.

We already have this feature on the Bridge, so can we please have it on the web app as well? Thx

I also thought there was separate inbox for each alias address.
I'm pretty dissapointed, this feature is not even in the roadmap 2023

I just upgraded to Mail plus in order to move my other mail adresses to Proton.
However, I discovered we cannot have a view for each email adress like in GMail.
So now, I'm thinking to ask for a refound since I cannot imagine to view a mix of all my mails. -

I echo every complaint below and want to add my frustration that Gmail and Outlook accounts are not separated in Bridge either.

I am trying to migrate to Proton and was shocked that it was not standard. I assumed that you could choose specific mailboxes for the "Easy Switch" function. It never occurred to me that this would not be possible. I am using the Bridge for Outlook and split the addresses. (BTW - that was not straightforward, but I succeeded after many tries.) Like many people, I have multiple gmail addresses, including one for corporate accounts that I sign up with that is just overloaded with spam. I will NOT be importing the spambox into my primary account! Maybe this is an opportunity to start fresh...

Haha... Amazing. I just purchased 2 year business plan thinking that I can manage my emails from 3 domains... And what a got? Just one garbage bin where all emails are stored. ProtonMail is indeed, as wrote below - just a waste of money. I'm very disappointed. Will definitely migrate to another service provider.

I find it unacceptable that a courier does not separate the addresses, that's why I paid for mail plus and I am very, very disappointed. It's a shame that in 2023, the messaging system that wants to be the most secure is at the stone age in its functionality and that we can't integrate several email addresses with separate passwords into an account? ??? I'm disappointed, moreover I had to spend a day looking for all-out explanations, no complete video demonstration of the functionality and configuration anywhere on the site, no language and translation, all in English, the mopnde is larger and not everyone can speak English??? However, it is a Swiss site with 3 languages and the French does not work in the Spartan and unclear instructions (on the allias for example, I still have not understood how to do it!) I think I will ask for a refund. I wanted proton to secure my emails with different addresses to limit the risks to email addresses that I could delete later, but there everything is in bulk and I will have to delete them all to delete spam and other unwanted items. anyone have a solution???

I prefer separate inboxes, one for bills and one for general emails. It makes it easier to find what I need and keep the inbox cleaned up.

This is absolutely essential!!!
I just subscribed yesterday without realizing this was not possible. How could I imagine a well regarded product would be missing such a basic feature?
It's possible to mitigate this with Proton Mail Bridge and using a client like Thunderbird, but I just don't want to. I need this on the web app.
Probably the feature that, if not implemented, will make me go to another provider.

I can't believe this is still not available. I have trasnfered my domain to proton and all my personal, spam and business emails are coming to the same "inbox"
I can use rules, but, this is not how this is supposed to work.

I have an Unlimited account and the fact that this isn't just standard amazes me. I didn't even check this when I signed up assuming it is just standard operating procedure for any serious email hosting provider in 2023.

Can't believe this is not part of Proton. No S/MIME and no separate inboxes. What a waste of money.

At the suggestion of other users, I created separate folders for each email address. I also turned on notifications for each folder. It’s not ideal, nor is it what I’m used to, but it works and has saved me hours of time.

Well this is silly. Although split address is available on bridge. Migrated from gmail to realised all my accounts for my business, personal, investments and especially spammy emails will be flooded through the same gate. What is the point?

I just signed up for Mail Plus. I likely will ask for a refund because of this missing, essential functionality. I somehow thought the availability of this functionality was so obvious that I did not check it explicitly...

I am a travel blogger and want to collect all my experiences in a book. Though I am a wonderful photographer, I am a bad writer. I gave it a try, but it was awful when I read the first few paragraphs. I am looking for a book writing company for hire who can help me out with my very first book. I am very excited about it and can have everything outlined. I want word wizards who can turn my experiences into thrilling stories. I'm gonna hire a

This is my number one need with a new email provider and I am incredibly disappointed that it's not available via my phone app and web gui.
Gmail has this available via their phone app - as you can easily switch inboxes within the gmail app.
ProtonMail - if you want to be considered a serious contender against gmail, this needs to be implemented. I'm sorry, but filters and labels do not cut it.

I just upgraded my protonmail account and merged my email accounts only to be disappointed it's not available. I just assumed multiple email aliases would be multiple inboxes.
