Proton as an Internet Service Provider
Obviously this is a pie-in-the-sky idea, but with all of the features provided by Proton, it seems that creating an ISP seems like a reasonable (if not far off) step. Of course access would vary by country as Proton would build ISP infrastructure, and I'm not sure if this has any particular benefits vs using a VPN, but just an idea.

Community controlled coops do exist, it's just a matter of beating Comcast et al at their rigged monopoly to get them going
