    ⚠️ Note: FreeTube breaks periodically due to YouTube’s anti-scraping measures. The team is actively working on a permanent fix. For now, using the nightly build or switching to Invidious is the most reliable workaround.

    Workarounds:
    Switch to Invidious API: Go to Settings > API and select a different Invidious instance (e.g., invidious.io, invidious.privacydev.net).
    Use the latest nightly build if you’re comfortable with pre-release software.
    Try a different network or disable VPN/proxy if you suspect IP blocking.

    I got it working for now but I still think proton VPN could make it better..

    Current Status & Fixes:
    The developers are aware and have identified the root cause (as confirmed on September 24, 2025, and reiterated in October 2025).
    A fix is in development, but not yet released in a stable version.
    Nightly builds (available via GitHub) include the fix and are reported to work for many users.
    Flatpak users should run flatpak update to get the latest beta version (e.g., v0.23.12 Beta, released October 16, 2025).
