ProtonVPN is not reliable enough to be "Always On"
On MacOS (and to a lesser degree iOS) there are times when ProtonVPN just stops working, often for many minutes. However, at least on the Mac (Sonoma 14.5, and don't make me use Liquid Glass), when ProtonVPN fails, it still keeps trying to turn itself back on. The result is that the Internet doesn't work at all. This is frustrating on deadline. There have been times when the only way for me to get the Internet back is by uninstalling ProtonVPN and rebooting. Obviously nobody wants that. It's especially frustrating in a time crunch.
Give me a "Emergency Off" button that cancels "Always On" so I can get a connection when it's really important. Presumably, the button would periodically poll ProtonVPN and turn itself on when a ProtonVPN connection was alive again, hopefully in a short period of time, and if not, the button would notify me of a continuing problem.
Thank you!
