Urgent need for Belgian server infrastructure
Subject: Feedback from a happy customer: Urgent need for Belgian server infrastructure
Dear Proton VPN Team,
As loyal and satisfied users of both Proton Pass and Proton VPN, we appreciate the exceptional speed, reliability, and security your services provide.
However, we face a major operational hurdle regarding server locations. We specifically require a Belgian server IP address to serve our customer base, which is primarily located in Belgium, alongside operations in the Netherlands and France. Because we require a single consistent IP setup, utilizing multiple servers across different countries is not a viable option.
We initially attempted a workaround by routing through Switzerland as a neutral hub. After testing this arrangement for a month, we must conclude that it is an unsuccessful choice for our workflow.
Why Belgium is Critical
Leaving Belgium unserved on your network is an oversight given the country's strategic importance:
* Political & Diplomatic Hub: Belgium hosts nearly all major European Union and NATO governmental institutions and offices.
* International Business: It serves as the base for thousands of international corporate headquarters and cross-border enterprises.
* Logistical Powerhouse: The Port of Antwerp-Bruges is one of the largest seaports in Europe and a vital global trade nexus.
Given this economic and geopolitical weight, the absence of dedicated server infrastructure in Belgium is glaring.
Call to Action & Pilot Trial Offer
We strongly urge the Proton team to establish server infrastructure in Belgium. Furthermore, we would like to ask:
1. What are the current obstacles or roadmap considerations preventing server deployment in Belgium?
2. Can we actively contribute to this process? We are fully available to participate as pilot trial users to test an experimental or test trial server hosted in Belgium.
We look forward to your response and hope to collaborate on a solution.
Sincerely,
A Dedicated Proton Customer
