Missing data transfer notification option
In the notification area, only the country and total upload/download and speed since the start of using the application are displayed. It would be great if there was an option in the settings to specify, for example, daily download/upload or weekly or monthly or select a date from when to when. This option would be great for tracking a monthly data plan

Split
Split tunneling is extremely useful but could benefit greatly from another level of splitting so that apps could be put into a home country only vpn tunnel, switched to when opening. This would allow some apps that don't work under a vpn to work since geography often seems to be the issue. I realize this could mean a reconnect, but this ensures staying on vpn and not forgetting to re-enable it to the preferred default other country. Cidr Notation for split tunneling
I currently have multiple subnets, and adding every single host I'd need a split tunnel is impractical. By allowing CIDR notation on the configs, we could allow 10.0.3.0/24 and have a whole slice of the network bypass the VPN.
As a plus, adding a per-network switch possibility would avoid my 10.0.1.1 (for instance) to be allowed without a VPN on public WiFi, for instance (which ties nicely to the "trusted networks" feature request)

Allow connecting via CLI as non-root
Previously, I could run the CLI as my standard user on Arch without issue, so I added it to my
~/.zprofile, ensuring that I would always be connected to a VPN server. My login flow is to login to the TTY and then start a GUI from there.I updated my system on 2026-05-23, and since then, protonvpn fails with "unexpected error." VPN Status on Android Control Panel
Instead of having the status of the connected VPN shown through notifications only. Can we also have the option to expand the quick connect button in the control panel of Android to show the status.
I don't need to have it keep showing in my notifications but would like to be able to check once in awhile by swiping down to my control panel.

I need to use ProtonVPN configs on multiple devices and multiple servers (because they get blocked very often) and it would be more comfortable if I could rename the configs already made so i could later change the names from jumbled mess to an actual normal name

Selection of countries in connection preferences
Instead selection of all countries you want to exclude,

Browse for additional applications in Split Tunneling on Proton VPN Linux
Much like in the Proton VPN application for Windows - where you can browse for a specific .exe - it would be great to be able to browse for additional applications in the Split Tunneling menu on Proton VPN for Linux as well, since not all installed applications - e.g. all applications without GUI - are listed and cannot at the moment be included/excluded in the list of apps for Split Tunneling.

Align Proton VPN versions on Google Play and F-Droid
Currently, Google Play offers the user version 5.11.94.0 (2025-06-06) for installation. At the same time, F-Droid offers version 5.11.39.1 (2025-06-11). I propose to align the versions available in these app stores.

The interface has changed slightly since the last update. The window with server list is too small, and it can't be resized. This is inconvenient. Please add the option to resize it.

When you connect using the Linux command line indicate server load automatically
When you connect to ProtonVPN using the command line your new IP is is played but you don't know your server load unless you type in protonvpn status, if you use the GUI you find out about the server load automatically, I want to propose the server load is displayed automatically every time you connect to ProtonVPN using the Linux command line along with usual assigned IP.

Dedicated IP for personal plans
It is an option for business users and would be a nice add for home users. My wife is sick of all the capchas and blocked sites from the VPN. I have been using Proton mail since 2019 and the unlimited since last year. Had to switch back to mail only until you add the dedicated ip to home users at a reasonable cost.

VPN icon right mouse menu
Instead of "Connect" and "Disconnect" options in the R-mouse menu, have one "Connect" option for each defined Profile, plus "Disconnect". No need to open full app to change connection.

Make Proton VPN app and CLI work with bridged or teamed network cards
Bridged or teamed network cards are not an unusual or exotic configuration; you use them if you have more than one NIC in your PC and want to use them efficiently, and some virtual machine software (such as Fedora libvirt) require that VM guests use bridged network connections on the host if you want those VM guests to act as independent entities on the local network.
The current Proton VPN app and CLI fail to connect and actually bring down the PC's network on Linux Fedora (44) if that PC has a network bridge.

Kill switch should stay on with split tunneling
I use Proton VPN at the router level, so my home Wi-Fi is already protected. On my laptop, I’d like to exclude my home network from the VPN using split tunneling without disabling the kill switch.
Right now, having both the router VPN and the laptop VPN running creates a double VPN, which slows down all internet traffic while I’m at home. If split tunneling worked with the kill switch enabled, I could use my home network normally without the slowdown, and when I leave home and connect to any other network, the kill switch would still protect me—no manual…
