    This makes the new photo backup feature a non starter for me. I have a lot of live photos that have great memories inside them, and I do not want to lose them by uploading to proton drive

    Yes, a good idea and as well integrated as entee would be perfect.

    When syncing with Proton Drive, automatically upload the live photo (~2 second video for every photo) as well.
