Proton Docs Improvements
The ability to have a non-pageless design, a ruler, line spacing so it can be used for academic papers (think double space, 1.15, 1.5, etc...), ability to open PDFs in Proton Docs, word count, and the paint format feature. Also, please add the ability for the mobile versions of Proton Drive to edit Proton Docs in the app or a separate Proton Doc app. I love Proton Docs though it's amazing and the UI is beautiful.

Proton Docs download to .odt feature
Besides .docx, many of us who use Linux and free/open-source software like LibreOffice Writer sometimes use .odt instead. It would be wonderful to have a direct export/download to .odt within Proton Docs

Proton Docs standard file format need to change
Basically, the proton docs created on the Proton Drive Web are attached to .protondoc format. This format is exclusive and does not open with Word, Libreoffice or anyhthing else.
I think it's urgent that we can change the standard format in a menu or even if we choose the format every time we create a new Proton Docs file.
The protondoc file format is a problem cause if the user wants to migrate a lot of files and/or folders, he will have a huge problem with those document files that only works in Proton ecosystem, I think it doesn't aligns…

Increasing file streaming from 100MB to 2GB
Proton Drive has a streaming feature, but you can only stream files that are up to 100MB. They should increase it to at least 2GB if not more.

Convert folder to an album
Before this new albums feature I was storing photos in folders, manually moving them from synced photos tab. Add an option to convert a folder to an album or to move photos from folders to an album.

nested albums in photos
Good that now Photos supports albums, but to start considering moving any photo there I need to be able to replicate the folder tree I have already in the Drive part, (and also a Windows/Linux program that keeps Photos in local)

Automatically create albums from folders that are being synced
It would be great if Proton Drive would automatically make albums with the same names of folders that are being synced and assign the media inside those folders to the same album on Proton Drive, it would save a lot of time manually organizing all pictures an videos over and over again to manually add them to albums, especially with large numbers of photos and videos it would be hard to manually organize everything into their specific albums again, having Drive already do so when it syncs a specific folder to make an album for all pictures and videos in…

Add a "delete" button in Album
Add a "delete" button when you are in a photo album. Imagine you find a photo you want to delete in an album, currently you have to go and search for it in the photo section wiith all others photos, which is tedious.

Proton Docs: documents should use odt format by default
Even if docx is a format more used, Proton should use odt instead as it is an open and standardized format while docx is proprietary and belongs to Microsoft.

More storage options 5T + and more affordables plans... maybe offering 2year subscription plans
Please offer more storage options, at more affordable rate... maybe 2yearly plans too.. similarly to IceDrive. Their implementation as system hard drive is great too. Would love to see this feature on protondrive as I think more user would switch from Icedrice or other cloud services... For professional users Proton is just not enough for the price.

Delete phone photos after upload
Option to delete uploaded photos from phone
Just uploading pictures is not enough if I need to check and delete the pictures by hand. There should be the option to one-click delete uploaded pictures or do that automatically after a certain time.

Move photos from photos tab to other folders
Hi, thanks for making Drive available for Linux. I use Fedora 39 KDE.
I also use Photo backup via Android (Samsung S23)
When I open all my files/photos in Linux web browesr, if I right click images, I can move to respective folders. As well as preview, move, rename, get link & delete.
If I open the folder that uploads Photos, via Android, this option is not available. Only download, upload or delete.
Perhaps this is a feature in the making?137 votes -
iOS upload photos in the background
It is my understanding the iOS photos will upload to Proton drive only if you open the Proton drive app, but it would be much better for photos to be backed up automatically, without needing to open the Proton Drive app.

Allow more than 10.000 photos/videos per album
Proton Drive apparently has a limit on the number of photos/videos you can add to an album. I tried on the web app and on the Android app: it will ont allow me to put more than 10.000 photos in one album. When I try to add a photo on Android, I get an red popup error message saying "Failed"; on the web app, the same red popup error message says something like ""some pictures could not be added".
This seems like a server-side bug to me, and should be easy to fix (?). Please allow unlimited photos/videos per album.…

EPUB - Reader in app and on web
Epub files can be uploaded to proton drive, but not read directly in the app or on web as a PDF file can. I have collection of Epub and pdf books that would be great to read directly on proton. When read I will move from Dropbox

Quick Delete Button on Image View
When I click on Photos to view pictures, I click on a picture to see it in more detail. Then, the picture enlarges and a few options appear in the top right corner. However, I miss the delete button. Now, instead, I have to return to the "All Images" view, select the picture, and delete it there. It's just a quick option.
