Increasing file streaming from 100MB to 2GB
Proton Drive has a streaming feature, but you can only stream files that are up to 100MB. They should increase it to at least 2GB if not more.
Done! We have now raised the file size limits on video streaming on web.

Hola!

I completely agree on Proton Drive’s streaming feature feels quite low, especially in today’s era of high-quality videos and large media files. Increasing the limit to at least 2GB would make Proton Drive far more practical for creators, students, and professionals. It would enhance user convenience and allow smoother playback without constantly worrying about file compression or size restrictions. check out for further information : https://bilibiliapks.com/bilibili-vs-crunchyroll/

This is the one thing holding me back from swapping fully to Proton Drive from Google Drive

As a Visionary user, I would definitely want to see this limit raised.

I agree, and to add on to this, I want to see more supported formats. Certain types of video formats/codecs still do not play, even if they are within the size restriction, which is painfully low for modern video recorders. Even a video taken with my phone which isn't very high quality can be about 30 seconds long before it's too big to stream. And my "proper" camera records in AVI format which doesn't preview at all unfortunately.
I get this isn't a streaming service and shouldn't be treated as such, but at least an increase to 1GB would make the majority of average length clips playable.

This feature is quite important. It's very frustrating when you share a video with someone and they cannot preview it because it's more than 100MB. It makes Proton Drive unfriendly and difficult to use when collaborating with others non Proton users.

you can also email proton to ask them to update 100mb to 2gb the more of us that do the more likely they will do this for us.

Or, if it's a feasible compromise until "more", allow for a 100MB section of a larger file (video for ex.) to be streamable.
