Search bar for mobile app
Include search bar for proton drive in the mobile app. Currently, the only way to search my drive is if I open a browser in desktop mode.

This one can turn into a deal breaker very quickly depending on usage. Absolutely a critical feature of cloud storage services. Already having some headaches due to lack of search functionality on mobile.

2 year old feature request and it still hasn't happened.

This is absolutely critical for any serious user of cloud storage. While I'm a fastidious organizer of my folders, I still need to search for specific files saved deep in folder structures.
Note to the Proton user community: I see hundreds of more votes for superficial improvements like "Proton Docs - dark mode / dark theme" than this. This is insane. Search is a table stakes feature and dark mode is a personal preference. This is not subjective.

I don't understand why the search bar also goes away on web if you're in mobile mode. The search capability is there, but the field is hidden for some reason.

It's a critical mobile app feature. Proton, please prioritize this!

This is TWO YEARS OLD!
While I userstand that searching through encrypted files is complex, but search is already implemented in Web. You already have the backend service and the technical approach figured out. You just need to port it to mobile. It might be something not very straightforward, but surely not a multi-year project!!
Please know that this is such a critical feature and a deal breaker, and please know that it’s very unlikely that I’m going to renew my paid Proton plan once it ends. I’m not getting a service that’s worth paying for.

When I first tried to find something on my proton drive app, I could not believe that this feature did not exist. I seriously regret moving from dropbox because this is just not workable. It never even crossed my mind that such a basic feature isn't here. If there are security concerns, then please just make it an opt-in option or something like that.

I'm not paying for ProtonDrive just because of this feature.

We are nearly 2 years into this request. If I am paying for 1/2TB of cloud storage, it seems pretty proper to have a search bar. Please push this up the priority list.

Its been TWO YEARS people, come on!!! This is the MOST CRITICAL feature I NEED from Proton. Not being able to search for files in the mobile app (android) has made it useless for me. If I am opening the Drive app on my phone instead of a computer is to quickly look for a file I need at that moment. This has been a huge turn-off as a paying user. Please Please Please implement this ASAP!

lack of full text search is why I have left proton drive and still stick with Google drive.
Happy message to the developers: I have read several times comments that this would be not possible or difficult to do because of encryption. I can happily tell you, that Evernote has full encryption and has content search, including OCR search. They did it, it can be done ! :-) -

Why is there a search button on proton mail on android mobile app but not on proton drive on android mobile app? Both are encrypted files. Whats the point?

It would be really convinient to have this feature. I have made the choice to migrate from google drive for obvious reasons. But please, a simple search feature on a drive is essential to me.

Please add a search to the mobile Apps - its unbelievable that this basic feature still is not in place!

YES PLEASE!!! It's very important to be able to search in Drive APP (not just online version). I have +1000 docs in there and it's a pain in the as* to do manual search. Thanks!

I agree with the commentators sentiments, this is a very basic set of crucial feature. It isn't 1993 where we have only a handful of files on our drives.

If I'd known I couldn't search my files on mobile or search email content on mobile without using my browser in a desktop mode, I wouldn't have switched to Proton. As much as I like other aspects of Proton's products this is a disaster for how I expect to use products in those classes and I'm looking at other options.
