Search bar for mobile app
Include search bar for proton drive in the mobile app. Currently, the only way to search my drive is if I open a browser in desktop mode.

It never occurred to me that there wouldn't be a search facility in the mobile app. I found out the hard way when at the doctors. I needed to lookup my previous records and had absolutely no way to do so while away from my computer. I will have to go back to, well ANY other online storage app, since Proton is the ONLY one that will not let you search on the mobile app. Yes, I know its some kind of security issue, but that should be my choice.

I really miss this in IOS Proton drive: even the web app does not search everything on mobile

I consider it to be basic functionality to be able to search for a file or folder also when using the apps for iOS/iPadOS.
This prevents me from switching from Google Drive. -

How is this not a basic included feature? Neither the app nor the mobile website have a search bar but the desktop mode does. Why?

I have thousands of documents, cannot browse to search foe them, so search is critical

This feature is absolutely critical. I really do want to migrate to Proton, but without it, it's useless :(

the most basic feature of a file repository is search for a file, isn`t it?

A search function is a must have in a drive app. With numerous folders and files, it makes the app almost unusable to retrieve a file without a search capacity.

I have decided to move from google to proton. I use search a lot on my iPad and iPhone. Search is to be considered a basic feature. I just assumed that the apps have a search function. This is critical. I’ve invested in a 1 year unlimited subscription. So I’m really surprised and disappointed.

This is the most basic feature of a search engine: looking for a file in a repository

I'm surprised that this basic "search file name" function is not available.
I'll go back and use Mega.

I'm in the progress of migrating my files from Dropbox and am very surprised that the iOS app does not have a search function! This is a must-have feature when you travel and work alot from your phone!

This one can turn into a deal breaker very quickly depending on usage. Absolutely a critical feature of cloud storage services. Already having some headaches due to lack of search functionality on mobile.

2 year old feature request and it still hasn't happened.

This is absolutely critical for any serious user of cloud storage. While I'm a fastidious organizer of my folders, I still need to search for specific files saved deep in folder structures.
Note to the Proton user community: I see hundreds of more votes for superficial improvements like "Proton Docs - dark mode / dark theme" than this. This is insane. Search is a table stakes feature and dark mode is a personal preference. This is not subjective.

I don't understand why the search bar also goes away on web if you're in mobile mode. The search capability is there, but the field is hidden for some reason.
