Please add this feature!

thousands of files that i cannot be scrolling through to find what i need. and for those who say it’s available in the browser version - i do not see a search function using any mobile browser and if, as someone else said, its only available on the desktop version, that is certainly not helpful for those of us who can’t just go home every time we need to access a file.

Coming up on THREE YEARS since this was requested and It's not even taged as planned yet!? As a paying customer all this time, I am started to lose hope.

Really need search bar feature on the mobile app, I simply cannot move fully to Proton Drive without it! I'd love to know that this is at least a planned feature

Why have a drive that is not searchable?

Absolutely essential! How is this not included? Basic functionality.

I was surprised this feature is missing. This is essential.

Three years later and still...nothing. Unbelievable. It's a feature that any product manager would demand be implemented in the mvp. This is a day-1 feature for cloud software alongside file upload and download. Get it together, Proton. This is getting very old.

Funny story... I was using google drive and windows search didn't index my files. I made a quick test in windows with proton drive and windows search retrieved the correct files (by name). So I quickly decided to migrate all my files to proton drive... The day after I wanted to retrieve a file over the phone and only then I noticed search was missing... I couldn't almost believe it. But I'm not going back, so I'm trusting proton will implement it.

Any update on this feature?

It never occurred to me that there wouldn't be a search facility in the mobile app. I found out the hard way when at the doctors. I needed to lookup my previous records and had absolutely no way to do so while away from my computer. I will have to go back to, well ANY other online storage app, since Proton is the ONLY one that will not let you search on the mobile app. Yes, I know its some kind of security issue, but that should be my choice.

I really miss this in IOS Proton drive: even the web app does not search everything on mobile

I consider it to be basic functionality to be able to search for a file or folder also when using the apps for iOS/iPadOS.
This prevents me from switching from Google Drive.

How is this not a basic included feature? Neither the app nor the mobile website have a search bar but the desktop mode does. Why?

This feature is absolutely critical. I really do want to migrate to Proton, but without it, it's useless :(

the most basic feature of a file repository is search for a file, isn`t it?
