Optional One-way or Two-Way synchronization direction
I want to use ProtonDrive on Windows for backing up my data.
In order not to loose my local data I would suggest additional options to improve the synchronization process.
1. One direction sync (send files to Proton servers only) vs two-way sync.
Now local files cannot be deleted when data from the Proton servers is removed (by accident or intentionally)
This also would enable to link the synchronization to an already existing backed up computer on the Proton Servers. In my case I got a duplication of saved data after I re-installed the Proton Drive Windows app.
2. Propagate deletions (or do not do so)
This would make it safer and easier to restore files which are deleted locally (by accident...)
As a good synchronisation example have a look at the synchronization possibilities of the Windows program "GoodSync".

I cannot agree more. Don't know why it's not upvoted more. It's a must have feature.

I have a Proton Drive folder that syncs. And we can also add folders in "My Computer". I'd like to have a toggle in the "My Computer" folders, so that I can choose if those folders are for sync (bidirectional) or just for backup (unidirectional, from the computer to the cloud). This way I can use Drive for syncing some folders, while also using it for backing up my computer without the risk of accidentally deleting a folder from the web interface
