Streamlining File Management: Automatic Deletion of Recycle Bin Contents
I suggest implementing an automatic deletion feature for the recycle bin (or trash folder) contents, where deleted files are permanently removed after a specified time period. This would eliminate the need for manual emptying of the trash folder, adding a convenient touch to file management. While not a critical issue, this enhancement could significantly improve user experience.

If this is ever implemented, it should be opt-in, and configurable. Many use the Trash as a staging area to remove later.

I don't get it how they still have not implemented this. From what i know you can't buy extra storage to add to 500GBs, but trash can easily take over the space. I switched to Proton Drive like a week ago, and today I removed almost 150GBs already. Meaning that my average of 200GBs I can get to a point when there are more files in trash, than outside of it with no way to get more space, that is space is just wasted... There is no benefit with this neither to users nor to Proton.

I second this improvement, with the addition of the ability to set the time period to never, for those who prefer to manually delete.
