File Search
Filename based Search functionality within Proton Drive...
I don't necessarily mean searching for File-Content, this is difficult to achieve in a fully encrypted setting (albeit not impossible, if the indexing tool would run local or in a sand-boxed mode and the actual index database would be stored as a file on the actual encrypted proton drive account.... )
But rather just a search for file name (even partial names etc...)

I'd just assumed this was possible when I started using Drive on Android. It seems such a basic requirement

I started using Proton from 2023, can't believe the file searching functionality is still missing in 2025, even just searching by file names.

I didn’t know, there’s no search function. Somehow the way the proton drive syncs to my computer, doesn’t even allow to search them locally with spotlight.

The lack of proper search is my main reason why I have to stick with Google Drive. I would love to switch but if I cannot run OCR search it's not usable for me. i am fine to accept some restrictions, like only working with an offline index, but right now I could not find any of my documents which defeats the purpose of working payperless.

I am using the Drive app on android. When on the move, I need to search for something especially scanned documents. It had happened many times now since I migrated from GDrive and OneDrive, when you need to search for a file quickly that you know you have somewhere in the drive but cannot find it when most needed.

I would add to this: advanced search filters. So we can use glob/regex to search for files (even recursively)
