Point-in-time recovery of files
Some products consists of multiple files. Thunderbird mail of iPhone backups through iTunes, for example. In case of corruption, ALL files need to be restored from the SAME point in time. Recently, I had a corruption of my Thunderbird mail file system. I tried to recover it from my Proton Drive sync files, but it was way too much work going through each history files. I was lucky enough to still have my "old" way of doing backup (IBM Spectrum Protect, in that case), that allowed me to do a point-in-time restore and save my emails. Although Proton Drive is really good for individual files, it is not usable for product like Thunderbird mail and iPhone backup through iTunes.
