Repeated Events & Custom Intervals on Calendar
Thank you for introducing the Calendar on beta! It is exactly what our business needs. However, we really need the custom calendar features that are available on Google. Without these, we can't really use the calendar.
In particular, being able to set repeat events at custom time intervals (exactly as per Google's calendar), eg. every 3 days or to never end, etc.
Thanks once again!

I found the section on repeated events and custom calendar intervals really useful because it makes planning regular tasks much easier. I recently had to manage several recurring activities and setting custom intervals helped me stay organized without manually adding each event. This same approach is helpful when planning important document-related tasks, such as applying for or renewing an NBI Clearance Online. Having reminders at the right intervals can prevent missed deadlines and make the whole process more convenient. A flexible calendar system is especially useful for keeping track of personal appointments, renewals, and other time-sensitive responsibilities.

An NBI Clearance https://nbionline.org/ is an official document issued after a background verification conducted by the National Bureau of Investigation in the Philippines. It is commonly required for employment, travel, business registration, government transactions, and other legal purposes. Keeping your NBI Clearance updated ensures you can meet various personal and professional requirements whenever needed.

I'd love to see this as well. I get paid 10/25th every month, and girlfriend gets paid 15th and last day of month. Since that changes every month... I can't add hers correctly. Cause in February there are no alerts unless i set it for the 28th, or the 29th every 4 years. If I set it for the 30th, then its wrong every month with 31 days.

Thank you for sharing such detailed feedback. It is great to see the development team listening to user suggestions and focusing on features that truly improve the overall experience. Building a reliable product takes careful testing and validation, much like the **NBI Appointment** process,(https://nbiappointmentsonline.com/) where every step is completed to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Looking forward to future updates with more customization options and an even smoother user experience.

It's 2026 and Proton Calendar still can't schedule something as basic as "last business day of the month"—a pattern the iCalendar spec has supported since 1998. This is a prioritization failure, not a technical limitation, and it's a genuine barrier to professional use.

Thank you for the detailed feedback and for trying out the Calendar beta—we’re really glad to hear it aligns well with your business needs. We understand how critical custom repeat events are, especially options like flexible intervals and open-ended schedules similar to Google Calendar, and we agree these features are essential for broader adoption. At the moment, we’re treating the beta phase much like an NBI clearance process (https://nbiappointmentonline.ph/): before rolling out full functionality, we need to complete the necessary checks, validations, and safeguards to ensure reliability, security, and compliance at scale. Rest assured, enhanced custom calendar features are already on our roadmap, and your input helps prioritize them as we move toward a fully cleared and production-ready release. Thank you again for your support and patience.

I don't know about other countries, but here in the U.S. we have events that may be scheduled for "first Sunday" or "fourth Saturday," or "last Monday" in only certain months.
I have not found Proton Calendar to be able to handle such patterns, nor will it support such patterns in events imported or subscribed from other calendars.
This is a dealbreaker for me, and forces me to use Google Calendar for all calendar uses -- a crime against humanity I can assure you.
Please fix this oversight.

I want to be able to create repeating events with the options available in Outlook's "Appointment recusance" options, that would probably cover most people's requirements.
Then if you added to ability to enter a list of dates for frequent but irregularly occurring appointments, that would probably "nail it".
This is one of a number of features that is currently preventing me from switching to use Proton Calendar.

This would permit gatheringds that happedned at sporadic interims to be entered in a solitary exchange toward the start of every year/month and so forth.

How hard would it be to implement a "list dates" function when enter events in calender? This would allow meetings that occurred at irregular intervals to be entered in a single transaction at the beginning of each year/month etc.

This is a feature in Outlook as well, at the very least it should copy the functionality from both of these services.
