Lumo Developer API
I would love to be able to programmatically call Lumo to perform advanced queries against the LLM, including the ability to run tools and functions. I'm an avid Home Assistant user that uses the OpenAI API to interface with local devices. I would prefer to use a secure and private API to do this, and am willing to pay for this capability with a similar cost structure to the OpenAI API.

Need standard inference API access authenticated with OIDC so to get the proton account benefits, privacy, chat history and all. Should even be ok to use the standard app authentication flow, but use of temporary API keys issued in Settings or Account Security pages would work as well.
It has to be practical and small, using Dev Console to extract GUI auth is not the way.

Looking forward to this feature. Especially now with glm 5.2 as the model. This would be the best AI service

Would very much expect my Visionary tier Lumo to be usable in my development environment as one of the models allowed for agentic development.

This API with open AI completion standard drop in replacement of non private LLM's like Claude for Hermes would be add tremendous privacy value. That is the reason I pay for Lumo.

Lumo is great, but an API is what would make it truly useful for my daily workflow. I’d love to integrate Proton’s privacy features directly into my own tools instead of being stuck in a browser chat. That’s when it becomes a real alternative to OpenAI for me.

Yes.. This API with open AI completion standard drop in replacement of non private LLM's like Claude for Open Claw would be add tremendous privacy value. It will be interfacing with My Obsidian knowlege base, very personal. Local AI not cutting it. Please and Thank you!

This would enable swarm capabilities in my app.
Of course REST api isn't compatible/friendly with required client side encryption ('zero access').Lumo as a provider over REST api is still useful even without full privacy, even if just for small projects.
