Stand‑alone Lumo Windows Application
Create a native Lumo desktop client for Windows that delivers the full Lumo experience—chat, writing assistance, file uploads, and secure conversation management—without requiring a browser. A dedicated Windows app would let users keep Lumo open alongside other productivity tools, benefit from hardware‑accelerated rendering and system‑level notifications, and integrate with Windows credential storage to preserve zero‑access encryption. It could also cache recent conversation history locally for offline read‑only access and provide a system‑tray icon with quick‑launch and status indicators. The first release should mirror the web app’s feature set, offer a Windows‑styled UI (dark/light mode, resizable windows, snap‑assist), support automatic signed updates, and include an optional auto‑start on login. Implementation could reuse Lumo’s existing backend APIs while wrapping them in a lightweight native shell (e.g., Electron, Tauri, or .NET Core) to handle OS integration and encrypted local caching.

We need Lumo for windows desktop rather than a browser for additional reasons I think are more important than those identified above. I do not trust my most important passwords to my browser (firefox). Accordingly, I have to enter my main proton account password into Lumo each time I open it. Because the various lumo products on my account have so much of my critical data, I choose to use two-factor authentication, which requires I open and enter the password from an authenticator app. All this takes extra time and effort that hinders my use of Lumo at home. In contrast, I can use the Proton apps for mail and calendar without that extra effort because I trust that those applications have been secured by Proton.

This is important to me. It would greatly improve productivity by making it easer to work with Lumo alongside out windows apps.
