Combine the lumo plan with mail and drive plan.
Right now, I am paying for proton family, but the subscription does not carry over to Lumo. It wants me to pay for Lumo separately. Why doesn't proton combine them so that one subscription covers everything?

This is likely because of how much compute power it takes to process AI requests. It's not cheap for even 1 request, let alone 100s or 1000s per day. So they need a separate and rather pricey plan to give unlimited access. You get 10/day and 200/month, according to Lumo itself, totally free and enough for casual use. I would definitely support some sort of "lite" tier above the free tier (but still limited) that would be part of Unlimited, Duo and Family plans by default though.

MAKE LUMO PAID SUBSCRIPTION AT LOWER PRICE AND MANY MORE WOULD SUBSCRIBE AND THE REVENUES WOULD SUPPORT RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT.

I have the same request but right now, family members cannot even sign into Lumo for the free version that is promised in Proton's own description of the family plan (https://proton.me/support/proton-plans, accessed 19. January, 2026). Each family member has to create a new Proton account and pay for Lumo access. This defeats the purpose of having one plan and one payment for a family.
