Keep screen awake during voice dictation/recording
I use Lumo's voice recording/dictation feature regularly, and I've run into a frustrating issue: while I'm speaking a longer message, my phone screen times out and goes to sleep, which interrupts the dictation and causes me to lose the text I was in the middle of composing.
Since dictation is a hands-free activity, there's no natural way to keep the screen active—it's not like typing where you're constantly tapping the display. Having to manually bump my screen timeout settings as a workaround is inconvenient and easy to forget.
Proposed solution: While voice recording/dictation is active in Lumo, the app should request a wake lock (keep the screen on) until the user finishes and submits or cancels the dictation. This is a standard pattern used by many recording and communication apps.
Why it matters: It prevents data loss, reduces frustration, and improves the overall hands-free experience that voice input is supposed to provide.
