I love protonmail as it is, to have an integrated calendar would be very handy. I would use it all the time then!!!

Guys, business doesn't work that way. If you wait for feature X before getting a paid account, how are they supposed to pay their employees so that they can get feature X? Get a paid account as I have done.
Having said that, if we could get IMAP access, this would not be an issue because then we could use it with a calendar client like the Lightning extension to Thunderbird.

It seems as the calendar integration was planned in July 2015 but not implemented yet?
I am new to Protonmail but will not upgrade to a paying account unless a calendar function can be provided very soon, any news on this? -

I have now added the beta VPN app to my computer and will, if reasonably priced, pay for the service when it is out of beta. I love the email service with one caveat, the lack of calendaring. Like many others I will commit completely to ProtonMail as my one and only email service when and if calendaring is added and will consider another email service if you can't or won't provide this. Adding calendaring has been a request by your customers since you started. It's time for you to step up and provide your loyal customers with an add on that is so essential.

Protonmail has great, secure email that is the best in the world. Expand that to include calendar, document and expanded contacts like MailFence has, but with Protonmail's secure model of operation.
