Sharing a calendar using existing contacts
I would have 3 proposals related to the sharing of the agenda:
- Allow to share one of my calendars with another ProtonMail user present in my contacts.
- Allow to invite another ProtonMail user present in my contacts to participate to an event.
- Allow a specific ProtonMail user in my contacts to edit one of my calendars.
This is very useful for example when your spouse is not available to know if she will be available at a specific date and to define a date with someone while inviting her to this event.
This can also be valid for employees in the company

Sharing a calendar is available on Web.
On next iterations we would like to enable the editing permission on mobile apps and add in the future to only share the "busy" information

"Available" and functional are two very different things. I have been waiting on a response since JANUARY 31ST as to why this doesn't work to share a calendar with a Google Calendar user (which I expect is the main use case for many Proton users who have spouses, partners or family members who are not Proton users).
What made Proton Calendar the red-headed stepchild of Proton apps? Why are you allocating so many resources to developing new apps, instead of shoring up glaring deficiencies in core functionality in your existing apps? Just last week I got an email from this forum from someone who is leaving Proton due to the fact that it is still not possible to edit a single instance of a recurring meeting with invitees. I cannot say I blame them in the slightest, as it's been YEARS. These are core features, not "ideas" for how to improve Proton Calendar. Truly sad to see the pitiful amount of attention and resources allocated to this key web service.

This feature is available now
I am definitely missing the collaboration feature, i.e. sharing and editing common calendars. Searching through the proposals here, I found quite a few requests for this feature. The combined number of votes would be high...
I need to share calendar with other Proton account. Without the option, I cannot convince the other users to move from Gmail Calendar to Proton Calendar! This means, Proton doesn't get the additional paid users!

I am a "Visionary" paid subscriber to Proton and very interested in seamless calendar sharing with my family from individual user accounts (NOT Business accounts requiring a domain name).
It is disappointing you are holding back from allowing this...it seems like a simple thing to implement.
Proton Calendar - will you be adding a SHARE CALENDAR feature? Like the Apple Calendar has? Not an invite, but sharing to see another's calendar. Spouse and I own our own business and need to be able to see each other's schedule.
And since I'm mentioning Apple, how about an import from Apple Calendar feature?
I'm new - so forgive me if this is a repeat request.

Please allow multiple users to edit the same calendar!
the share feature is now available
the only thing that isn't available is allowing another to edit

Waiting for this to make the switch from Time Tree. Can't come fast enough!
Crucial for calendar use - I still use tutanota (fully shared calendar) but would like to switch to proton completely

I spent a lot of time persuading my business partner to opt for Proton services over Google. I had assumed that this feature would be available for business users.
While I appreciate the constraints of development time, a shared calendar is vital for my business requirements. I will regretfully have to consider alternative services that integrate email and calendars.
Full edit level sharing of the calendar for the family is a must. It has been almost 2 years since this feature was raised, I am hoping this is just around the corner?

The only thing keeping me from moving to Proton rn is that you can share your calendar with others, but not allow them to edit it. I share a calendar with my partner in which we both put our appointments so we know when the other is busy or free. If this feature were to be added i would throw a lot of money at Proton.
Same as most below. My wife is an iPhone user and I'm an Android user. We've migrated to Proton for many things and this calendar feature would increase our buy-in with Proton.
Like most commenters on here, our family is also using half proton and half other service. We want to migrate fully to proton, but the ability to share calendars is what's keeping us from doing so.
For edit, allowing multiple users in the calendar app would work as well. This is already done with the email app. How hard would it be for the calendar app?
For business users, having an integrated team calendar is essential. Just like O365's Calendar, we need to share the events and a Scheduling assistant to find times when our team can meet.

It would be nice to be able to see the calendars from other people withing my "organisation" (which in my case is my family)
I ditched google services but I miss them. The calendar is a very big part of my life and business. It needs a lot of work from Proton. Proton calendar needs to be integrated between platforms and apps. I am not sure yet but I think I have to share the same calendar every time I make an update to it. The ones on IOS at least, are not getting the updates unless I re-share it.
