Offline calendar
I don't really mind whether its a bridge to an existing app - Apple Mail, Lightning - or adedicated proton app but I need a calendar that I can use (rather than just view) offline. That means adding and editing events. This seems to me a pretty basic function, without it Proton Calendar is not much use to me. I am offline a lot of the time.

Yes it is critical to be ABLE TO LOOK AT MY APPOINTMENTS OFFLINE, I let down my Samsung calendar wich do so, (with monthly widget and the ability to choose for every event between task or appointment and change the type while editing later)
Secondly it is of course important to create ou edit offline, but having a look is critical. Google calendar is able to, many of us are boycotting Google products, Proton is the best alternative calendar for confidentiality, but WITHOUT OFFLINE consultation, it is an UNSECURE reference for our appointments and organisation. Thanks for everything ! -

This is really critical, for both mobile and desktop versions. The loading time on Android (especially for past events) is very long, even with a good connection.
Moreover, the app is not reliable for adding events on the fly with spotty data connection. -

I don't understand how such a critical feature couldn't be a priority for such a long time.
I love Proton. I have been using it and hoping they would add this feature for years now. I am so disappointed by the company that they really don't seem to prioritize it at all. -

Yes this is a critical feature. All other calendar apps allow you to do this, and it means when you are flying / traveling you can sort out our appointments ready for them to synchronise when you get back to an area with network coverage. Please add this feature

This is a critical feature. Even though we live in a very connected world nowadays, it would not be nice to miss an event because you had poor or no internet at just the wrong time. I want to be able to add, view, and edit events and receive notifications within the official apps even without internet. When internet is back, it can automatically sync and if there's a merge conflict, it can give a notification the the user where they can resolve it.
I get the browser version will always be internet based and that's fine. If you're in a browser, it's assumed you have internet. But the apps need this feature asap.

Visited a customer today in a shadow area with poor mobile connection - I was unable to check my calendar to schedule a follow-up meeting; a really bad experience with Proton.

Weird how a high voted feature is under review for more than two years.

Desperately needed. I simply need to be able to open the Desktop app and view my mail/calendar, without it first needing a connection just to load the account/content.

This could hopefully also solve my problem that for everytime I want to search I'll have to wait 10-20 minutes for decrypting and indexing (I have 4 calendars with around 9.000 events).
This way the search function is not workable. In all other calendars it took me a few seconds! -

Come on, how can such a basic feature not be a priority for 2 years?

It's a so basic feature for any service. Shocked to learn that I can not add an event while offline.

It is critical to be able to create new events while offline.

As someone who travels to remote locations on a regular basis, this has been a persistent problem The desire to "cache" emails locally for offline use is useful to critical depending on the situation.
This post below does a little better to add context.

The iOS app is working perfectly for me EXCEPT;
I only have 4 things I have found I miss multiple times a day:
1) add calendar entries off line in the app to then update when internet available
2) the ability to change the calendar that an entry is filled under
3) being able to search for an entry/keyword - works on desktop, not on iOS
4) the ability for everyone sharing a calendar to edit that specific calendar (currently only the creator of the callendar has that privilege)
Fix these, it would be perfect for me/my family

I totally agree, but without the need for bridging (though some people may like that option also) as I like the proton calendar app.
This needs to be available on mobile devices too, not just desktops/laptops. -
Elie commented
Very important to have this option on mobile devices. The bridging on the desktop is not enough as we cannot carry our laptops with us everywhere, and additionally I prefer the protonmail client app instead of other third party ones.

This is very important, and even though there is the bridging software on a desktop to make emails accessible via another mail client such as Outlook, it is not feasible to carry your laptop everywhere you go, and if you travel quite a bit you do need access to your emails offline at all times.
After all, other email service providers are able to do this.
I also like the protonmail client app, and would rather use this instead of going back to other third party apps. -

Creating offline calendar entries on mobile is a must-have for me. It is quite annoying trying to create an entry and waiting forever because the connection is slow or even broken.

I also commonly find myself in situations where I want to note down a bunch of events without a network connection.
I realize that this is quite a bit of work to get working, but creating events offline and having them upload in the background when a connection exists would be very useful
