Open event location on mapping site/app (google, apple, open street maps)
Currently, the location icon and address data in a Proton Calendar appt. does nothing. It would be nice if clicking on it would open a map program such as Google Maps to get directions to appt.

Critical Feature.
I see some folks asking for this to be backed by OpenStreetMaps. Would be fine for the input side - autocomplete suggestions.
When on the output/reading side, should give the user the choice to open in OpenStreetMaps, Apple, and Google to tie into existing navigation on mobile/CarPlay/Android Auto mobile devies.

It should give suggestions while adding a location.
It should open a map when opening the location.I think it is best to open the default Maps-app on mobile.
On web you should be able to choose where it will open. -

I vote for Open Street Maps! I try not to use other mapping software.

pretty much every day I tap on the next appointment in my calendar on my phone and open the destination in Waze ... not being able to do that in Proton is super frustrating

Proton Calendar definitely has to have maps integration on its calendar, this is critical.

Apple Maps would be ok.

https://www.openstreetmap.org/ is a great option for that.

I don`t use Google maps and any Google stuff, but it would be nice to have map open whichever is on the phone (apple Maps for me). Let`s have a choice but first we need this feature.

Because it's Proton => privacy, some open-source privacy-focused would be great -> open street maps

Oh this is a huge one. I have opened ticket # 2556877 for iOS, it took a lot of effort to convince the support team what I wanted (open the address on any of the available maps aps), but there haven't been any updates. Currently, the iOS app only attempts to open the address in Apple Maps; in my case, I don't use that app, I use Google Maps, and all I can do is copy the address, manually open Google Maps, paste the address and off I go...
