Label events as free or busy. Also per calendar ability to filter events from view & notifying.
Outlook allows for events to be marked as free or busy. The ICS equivalent parameters of these are transparent and opaque.
It would be great if proton calendar would allow events to be marked as free or busy and for it to be aware of these parameters from ICS.
Use case scenario: I have my work outlook calendar ICS loaded into proton calendar.
I have recurring meetings weekly, often 3 meetings overlapped at a time, from 8am-6pm daily.
As a manager, there are many meetings I need to have in my calendar in the case I need to join them. I may be optional. I manually label any reoccurring meeting that I am not required at as 'free' in outlook instead of the default 'busy'.
ICS parameter is as follows:
TRANSP:OPAQUE (Busy)
TRANSP:TRANSPARENT (Free/Available/Cancelled meeting)
In my proton calendar I need to be reminded of meetings that are default set to 'busy' but I do not need to be reminded for all the other meetings where I have mark the event as free. I also don't particularly need to see these events in my proton calendar, as they are in my work calendar.
Meetings which are cancelled in outlook have their subject changed to "Cancelled: XXXX." and their ICS parameter TRANS changes from OPAQUE to TRANSPARENT. I do not need to see these in my proton calendar nor be reminded of them.
The solution I am requesting is as follows:
1) Per Calendar - Filter and notification settings
2) Option to filter Transparent/Free events from calendar view and from setting notifications.
These settings can't be global settings as people may use the 'transparent/free' value for reminders/birthdays etc in other calendars where they need to see the event and or get a reminder.
