Show events on Calendar overview
I'm currently in progress of switching all of my information over to Proton for additional security. At this time, I'm focusing heavily on the Calendar, and I realized that none of the events that I input actually have any sort of obvious indicator. For example, if I were to select to view the month of February 2024, I have a multitude of events - however, there is absolutely no way of knowing this unless you begin clicking through every single individual day (through the Mail app) or every single individual week (through the Calendar app). This is quickly becoming an organizational nightmare. I just created a new event that was similar to a previous one, but it took me over ten minutes just to find the old one to copy/paste the matching information. Even a small dot- or something- to show that an event was input for that day would be massively beneficial. In my previous Calendar application, every event had a small dash of color over the day to show that something was logged, whether you were in the monthly, weekly, or yearly overview. At this time, Proton just shows itself as a giant blank Calendar overall. If someone asked me, "hey, didn't you visit so-and-so around June or July?" it would take me quadruple the time to hunt through this Calendar than it would to look through my filing cabinet for the receipts. Besides advertising itself to be secure, I genuinely cannot see any reason I would use this Calendar above any of my other options. Sure, you can create events, but then it becomes a needle in a haystack- and if you can't happen to remember the month it took place, have fun hunting through every single individual week/day of the year to find it.
Even if I thought it was worth it to pay for Proton services, I'm still not seeing anything advertised that would fix this glaring issue. Thank you, but no thank you.
