Proton Calendar (web app)
I love protonmail as it is, to have an integrated calendar would be very handy. I would use it all the time then!!!
A calendar is more than just a tool. It’s a record of the moments that make up your life. Today, we’re happy to announce the launch of ProtonCalendar beta for all paid users. ProtonCalendar keeps your events private and secure. Learn more here: https://protonmail.com/blog/protoncalendar-beta-announcement/

As soon as calendar is going, I'm paying for a 2 year subscription and getting off gmail.

I’ve just moved from Gmail. Not having an even basic iCal integration (there’s ton of front end clients out there, that’s not really the problem) was the major pain point.
It would be great to even have a very basic calendar backend, folks using PM are probably tech-savvy enough to make it work.
Thanks!

This was 'started' 8 months ago, it would be nice to have an estimated delivery date or some sort of update please? Do you engage with users/the community when designing these new features?

I'm a paying Protonmail customer. I've prioritized protonmail for my personal and business email, using my own domains. This hasn't been nearly as seemless as the features and integrations available for Gmail & Outlook users - obviously. But it consistently get's better.
THE CALENDAR is a huge interest for me. HUGE! ...huge. I would love, love, love to run my business through a secure calendar system (that still facilitates highly functional integrations - such as Calendly or even CoSchedule, secure path for Zapier integrations?? etc.) I acknowledge that this calendar is a totally new product. This doesn't currently exist (not well). So I respect the need to innovate/develop.
I'm VERY eager for this development - I would love to know more. beta? Included feature with paid levels?

An alternative to having a Calendar integrated directly to Protonmail would be integration to a CalDAV server, like Radicale. I currently have that set up on a linux server from home, so all my appointments and contacts are now hosted in my own "cloud".
But there is one key use case which this does support, which is the ability to send someone an invite to an appointment via their email. It could be good if we can figure out a way to enable this, from both a desktop client like Thunderbird, as well as the mobile client like Android.

Protonmail Calendar is the one missing feature that would bring many new customers and make the software work well for teams and businesses. Calendar and planning is an integral part of everyday life. A secure calendar within protonmail, that teams could use would be priceless. you would double your business prioritizing this!

Yes!
I've been using EteSync (www.etesync.com) in the meanwhile which has been working great and also does contacts.

Definitely the calendar! Do that and I will start paying for a PM account. For now, it’s not worth the $ to just have an email.
