Proton Calendar (web app)
I love protonmail as it is, to have an integrated calendar would be very handy. I would use it all the time then!!!
A calendar is more than just a tool. It’s a record of the moments that make up your life. Today, we’re happy to announce the launch of ProtonCalendar beta for all paid users. ProtonCalendar keeps your events private and secure. Learn more here: https://protonmail.com/blog/protoncalendar-beta-announcement/

What Ross said... Just adding my voice so I get notified if anyone responds to this. I'm a paying customer and lack of calendar and contacts is the last thing stopping me getting away from Google.

Suppose you set out to make an email service that was like Gmail but with better privacy. Would it include decent Contacts and Calendar functionality? Obviously.
Protonmail's Contact functionality is so useless, I actually keep a list of contacts in a separate draft email. Plain text is better than what they've put up. And there is no Calendar of any kind. At the time of writing, some kind of calendar functionality has been "Planned" for two years. Two. Years.
Worse still, look at the comments below. Time after time people are asking for a status update. A simple message from someone at PM just to tell us what the hell we can expect and when we can expect it. Nothing. No message. Sadly, protonmail rarely offer status updates, and they rarely reply to critical messages either.
Tutanota have promised a calendar this year (2017). I'm a paying customer of Protonmail, but if Tutanota get there first, I'll switch to them.
Maybe the reason Protonmail can't tell us when their calendar is coming out is because they don't have one to plan the project.

I like ProtonMail, don't sign up for paid services, it's OK for me, Calendar is a good Consideration, will it be for free Customers aswell?
And about Google's Calendar : it takes a hughe amount of Memory, I threw it off and switched to Tiny Calendar, only one that synchronizes -

How I read here in comments - a calendar would be fine to have, but how is it with Google's Calendar Integration /Synchronizing? On Android, everything Google..?

Planned for 2 years. Well, I am ready to jump off, actually, it is a huge pain in the ass to switch the context between the calendar, contacts and email. Privacy should not be pain in the ass.
[Sarcasm] At the same time, what the hell, it says ProtonMAIL. There is no word Calendar there. Even wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ProtonMail) talks only about mail, nothing else.

The lack of this feature is what keeps me undecided about my future commitment to ProtonMail. I have written them before to let them know that if encrypted calendaring were included they would have a life long loyal customer.

Please update this thread with the status of this request. If having a calendar is not in alignment with the culture/goals of Protonmail, please let us know.

Surely this is a basic feature, having to manually import events to my calendar is a total pain

Please let me open an .ics attachment in another app via your iPhone app. I would pay for the Visionary plan if I at least had that ability (not even a full-fledged Calendar service from ProtonMail but the ability to save the .ics into my local iPhone calendar). I can't give you money til I can use this for work, and I can't use this for work til I can save calendar events *somewhere*.

C'mon guys do the calendar, I am a paying customer, and it is a pain in the ass to have to send invitations to gmail to have them in the google calendar. It doesn't have to be super fancy...just give us something!

Please refer to both Digical, who has vibrant easy to read Calendar Screens with many color options, nice Events Options, and widgets AND SolCal who has EXCELLENT To Do Lists and Events as well. Sol Call is actually my favorite featurewise with the ability to add BOTH events and to do with reminders that stay put until complete/checked off...Both products have nice, customizable widgets with Transparency Option which works great on Android screens. I love both of these but want an all in one to track Email, Calendar, Events, To Dos in an encrypted and effective way with a nice interface. I know a lot of people have posted but it's been awhile and I wanted to point out the 2 that I've been using while in waiting for someone to develop the perfect app that's secure. I see others mentioning integration, but by that I hope they mean import. I suppose integration would be nice to, but first you need the basic framework, which I think is more of what I'm asking for.

Same thing as pretty much everyone else. For me, there are 2 things that prevent me from completely stop using Gmail:
1) Lack of a calendar here in Protonmail;
2) The (comparetively) bad quality of Mailfence. -
