Access the same custom domain from multiple Proton accounts
The case is simple. I'd like my wife to have a separate account in the same, custom domain registered in protonmail. You can't have it in the current setup, as multiple addresses can be setup only for one account (so they are more like aliases). Multiple accounts could count towards one storage or account number limits.
Thanks.
You can now have multiple users on the same custom domains. You can learn more here: https://protonmail.com/support/knowledge-base/paid-plans/ or https://protonmail.com/blog/encrypted-email-for-organizations/.

Fall 2016 is officially upon us, any idea if this feature will be in the 3.5 release?

This feature cannot happen soon enough - although I will be profoundly disappointed if it is only offered to visionary plan holders. That would, in fact, be enough for me to switch to a different provider, regrettably. Thus, I look forward to seeing the feature offered to plus accounts as well as others.

This feature would be amazing!

This feature sorely needed. Any update on status since your last one over one year ago on 3rd of July 2015?

Would be nice to find this feature in the next months :) But please make it available for plus accounts, because I just want to add family members and don't want to upgrade to a buisness account, thanks :)

You can create mail boxes with your custom domain but they are simply aliases. No different user/password for each mail address (this is a complete disaster).
Each mailbox (with its own username and password) should be allowed to create any number of aliases (it's free for God's sake! you can limit the space, not the aliases, at least give 10 aliases with the plus version).
Filters to order mail in labels or folders missing. A folder system would also be great.
IMAP/SMTP connectors not available (essential for backup! to store mail in your own computer).
Import mail from another imap/pop account.
Increase the number of smtp servers. Now there are just two according to the DNS. Also more DNS aliases for MX records with different priorities.
Be able to store more information in contacts: email, telephone, web, notes... AND sync that data using the app.
Allow encrypted notes and a simple calendar. Sync!!!! data using the app for smartphones.
Public/private key should be downloadable or at least be able to import/export.
2-step authentication not available.
Login using certificate instead of password (the certificate could be the same as the one that ciphers the account).
User-friendly payment: If you don't pay next month revert the account automatically to the free account. For instance: Not allowing mail from the custom domain, if mail quota is exceeded, return the mail, etc.
Improve the notifications in the app: Don't use google services, allow time without notifications (natively in the app, as K9 mail does), allow notification for certain contact after hours, etc.
Customize number of fail attempts before the key is deleted from the app (for instance, 3 are more than enough). Lock the app when the phone is locked even if the time specified has not passed. In general, the service is quite expensive for the features offered. I supose you'll continue improving it.

I understand the feature is coming in the fall, but please make this available for all paid accounts. I don't want to find out I have to upgrade from a plus account to a business account (or any upgrade) in order to get my family to all be able to use the same domain.
Maybe plus accounts get 5 where business get 50, 500, whatever.

I am extremely disappointed to learn that 5 email addresses just means 5 aliases, and that we cannot use this for our business. I have spent countless hours researching the most secure email service available, and it is ProtonMail. It is sad to say that after hours on the ProtonMail site, the only time I was able to learn about the inability to use ProtonMail for our business was after signing up for the paid Plus account, paid for an entire year, and began the process to try to set up multiple email addresses for our employees. It is misleading to say the least. So we've paid for an entire year, and yet the system is completely unusable for our business until multiple accounts are available for the same domain.

Yeah... Just upgraded to Visionary not realizing this. :( Thats unfortunate because we need centralized management. We deal with Sensitive Data all day long and ProtonMail was our first choice. Can't wait to see it released.

This feature is really important so we can switch from google apps.

YES EXACTLY! I was disappointed to find this when I set up my custom domain just now. :(

For me this is the difference between going to Plus or not. If I could have 5 addresses for different people, each with its own login, then I would definitely go plus. Otherwise not.

This is standard on any email provider.. why do we have to beg for it here?

This is the very reason that I switched the domain to ProtonMail, I was so impressed by the encryption and so forth, who would have guessed that I lose my personal @protonmail.com account as everyone in the company has to have my passwords .... I will not be bringing any more domains over until this is fixed!!!!!!!!!! And if this is not fixed by the time it's time to renew, That will not happen.

The only one reason to buy paid account.

I am really glad I have seen this post before upgrading. Frankly, am very disappointed. I have spent many many hours researching the most suitable account for my family to share using a custom domain and having finally chosen Protonmail, based on the ADVERTISED CLAIM that 5 ADDRESSES are included in the paid version as is also custom domains. This is DISHONEST and it's from the people who say my email will be safe with them;
I will add a new IDEA requesting that this FALSE CLAIM be immediately removed/rectified please vote it up. -

The ONLY reason that I am looking at the paid account is for the use of the domain name in the email which is critical in business. I thought I had found the answer but alas...I still have to keep looking. Sooooo disappointed
