YubiKey support
The dedicated Protonmail community deserves a real response from the crack team of Protonmail scientists and engineers. When are you implementing Yubikey or are is your tag line just bs?

Jamie - I agree with you - its critically important that we treat everyone with respect and engage in civil discourse. That said, I can also empathize with the mounting frustration among paid users at the dreadfully slow pace of progress on highly up-voted ERs like this one. As I commented previously, you CAN use Yubikey (and other) soft MFAs by copying the seed key. That said, I believe the spirit of the request is to use the more advanced standards that leverage the entropy on the hardware device itself. I must admit as a paid user, I'm quite disappointed with the product quality and the pace of new feature delivery. Such a promising idea... but thus far, high velocity, high quality delivery remains elusive for the PM Dev team. And don't get me started on Support! I've had a Sev 1 Bridge bug open for 8 months and cannot even get them to respond anymore ...and this is typical of most of my Support cases - its just a really bad experience... both of the above lead to the frustration you are picking up on. I hope PM's ELT reads these comments and takes action - I really want to see them be successful.

Please don't be so rude to proton staff, or staff anywhere actually. They are humans too just like you.

2 Factor Authentication would be a welcome feature. I don't care about YubiKey. I think it would be better to use an open standard instead of endorsing a particular product.

FIDO2 and WebAuthn are really nice and mature by now, this should be a MUST HAVE.

How is this not done yet with no updates on the issue? Hardware Auth is the most secure for two factor, SMS can be compromised.

Would be delighted by this feature. This is a requirement for me in the long term. I know and appreciate that feature development takes time, would love an understanding of where this sits on the roadmap (this year?, next year?).

It is time to change the boat, slowly moving all my businesses to Paid Tutanota, they are a much better company in terms of providing secured and private email, ProtonMail is doing whatever they want to do, no even listening their customers anymore

J'ai vraiment hâte que vous ajoutiez la possibilité d'utiliser une yubikey.

To be honest I was really surprised that ProtonMail didn't have the support for YubiKeys (or to be more precise FIDO2 support). I was expected that if ANY provider would choose to implement this, it would be ProtonMail :/

We need this, patiently waiting.
@Sicario "I can't help but be concerned that nearly three years ago, they said it was, "in the works and coming." Some assurance that it's at least a priority would be nice."
Same, :( Anything from the developers to update us would be helpful.

I've got faith in the team at ProtonMail I'm sure they have great security , there is a saying though , you get what you pay for... support the team at ProtonMail with some small donations from time to time so they can help us out with more research and development of new up and coming features like YubiKey in the future , thanks
