  1. Can a waiting room be included in Proton Meet permanent rooms?

Problem: Currently, Proton Meet has permanent rooms that are great for recurring workflows (e.g., schedule management with EHR systems like Sessions Health). However, they lack a proper gatekeeper function. For users working under HIPAA regulations, a permanent link with only password gating is a liability. If a client joins five minutes early while a previous session is still active, they could accidentally "crash" a private meeting. This creates a significant privacy breach risk.

Proposal: Introduce a Waiting Room / Lobby feature specifically for permanent rooms. The host receives a notification when someone attempts to join. Pending joiners remain in a…

  3. A account wide, global, "Don't annoy me" toggle.

When enabled, No "Security advice" will be shown in UI like suggesting that I add my phone number under recovery. No "Upgrade to this next big plan". No "Almost at limit, upgrade to business".

Just let me use the service without having to close 10 popups and read 15 warnings all trying to push me to buy a business plan or apply settings that are I am not interested in. I already paid what I think is good, and have already setup what I think is good.

Stop it, let me live in peace.

  4. Lumo Merchandise (Plush Toy, Keychain, or Pendant)

    Dear Proton Team,

I am a huge fan of your AI assistant, Lumo! It has become an invaluable part of my daily workflow, helping me with complex tasks while respecting my privacy.

I am writing to propose a new line of official merchandise featuring Lumo. Specifically, I would love to see:
    1. A soft Lumo plush toy 🧸
    2. A Lumo keychain 🔑
    3. A Lumo pendant/necklace 💎

Having a physical representation of Lumo would be a fantastic way for users to show their support for Proton's mission and carry a symbol of digital privacy with them everywhere. It would…

  5. Partner with Brave to make a better browser

    Dear Proton Team,

I propose a strategic partnership to integrate Proton’s suite of privacy-first services — including ProtonMail, ProtonVPN, ProtonDrive, ProtonPass, and ProtonCalendar — directly into the Brave browser. This collaboration presents a unique opportunity to deliver a seamless, end-to-end encrypted experience for millions of privacy-conscious users.

Brave’s growing user base and open architecture make it an ideal platform to surface Proton’s tools natively — think integrated mail panels, one-click VPN toggles, encrypted storage access, and password management — all without compromising security or requiring external apps. This would not only enhance user convenience but also strengthen both brands as…

  6. [Proton Meet] Mobile iOS and Android App for Meet

Mobile apps for the new service would be very useful since many people may be on the go and want to join meetings privately from their phone.

I use email aliases extensively via SimpleLogin. If I send a Proton Meet invitation, however, it includes my real Proton Mail address. It should be possible to alias this, including setting a default alias

  8. Proton meet - Lite - for families plan

I have a families subscription with my siblings and elderly parents, and would benefit from having a scaled down version for the families subscription that is included. Limited time and or features, so families can see their loved ones for an hour every weekend or off business hours. Talk securely about family, medical plans etc.

  9. Nudge users to change their master password periodically

I think it would be helpful if Proton would periodically (perhaps quarterly? At least annually) nudge users to change their master passwords.
Because the initial nudge might come when someone doesn't have time to update their password, perhaps the user could "snooze" the nudge.

  10. Integration between Proton Sheets and MoneySheets.io

I would like to request a collaboration or API integration with MoneySheets.io. This service uses official Open Banking to automatically pull bank transactions into a spreadsheet and calculate income, expenses, and savings. It currently works only with Google Sheets, which forces privacy-conscious users like me to move sensitive financial data outside the Proton ecosystem.
An integration that allows MoneySheets to sync directly into Proton Sheets would be extremely valuable. It would let Proton users automate their personal finance tracking while staying 100% within your secure, privacy-first environment. This feature would strengthen Proton Sheets as a practical daily tool and show…

  12. Secret References: CLI-Based Env Variable Injection for Developer Workflows

Add support for secret references in developer environments, allowing users to reference Proton Pass secrets directly in shell sessions and configuration files without ever writing sensitive values to disk in plain text.

    The Problem
Developers currently have no way to use Proton Pass as the single source of truth for secrets in their development workflows. Even with a .env file properly added to .gitignore, credentials still exist in plain text on disk, vulnerable to accidental exposure, editor leaks, and local filesystem access.

Each developer on a team must also manually sync secret values out-of-band, creating drift and security gaps.

  13. New Product Proposal - Proton Mind (AI-Powered Mind Maps)

    Dear Proton Team,

I would like to suggest the development of a mind mapping application
with AI integrated into the Proton ecosystem, with the following features:

    • Intelligent conversion of PDFs, videos, and notes into visual diagrams
    • Full offline operation using local AI models
    • Lumo engine as the processing core
    • Zero-access encryption maintained at all stages
    • Integration and import capability for files from Standard Notes and Proton Drive.

    Suggested name: Proton Mind

This product would fill an important gap in the Proton portfolio,
offering a private alternative to tools like Mapify, MindMeister,
    and other untrustworthy solutions.

  14. Deletion of a photo from preview window with web-based Proton Drive

This one is pretty simple; using Proton Drive on a web browser, when I click on the thumbnail of a picture/video/file for preview, there is no way to be able to delete it. This is needed and IMO it is the right location to proceed for a deletion: when the file is being viewed. It is also helpful for files management and can help free spaces from your server, the planet, and our subscription.

  15. Detect Busy Git Repositories and Delay Sync to Prevent Corruption

I would like to suggest a feature that would significantly improve reliability when working with Git repositories inside Proton Drive.

    Problem:
Git operations (commit, checkout, rebase, merge, gc, etc.) modify many files inside the .git directory and are not atomic at the directory level. If Proton Drive syncs the repository while such an operation is in progress, this can result in corrupted repositories, broken working copies, or inconsistent history.

    Suggested Solution:
When Proton Drive detects that a directory is a Git repository (contains a .git folder), the sync client should delay syncing that directory while the repository is “busy”.

    Simple…

  17. Create email filter within message.

I use filters and labels a lot.

Instead of having to dig into Settings > Filters, I'd like to just select the sender address and Add to Filter or Create New Filter.

I'm most often in the MacOs desktop app but sometimes in the iOS app.

  18. Private browser or private browser compatible

Proton's encryption would be amazing for browsing. However, for those that love security and use apps like DuckDuckGo, Ecosia, Opera, etc. It would be nice to have extensions adjusted for those as well.

  19. Built in email translation for Proton Mail

    Hello Proton Team,

I would like to propose a built-in translation feature directly inside Proton Mail. This would significantly improve usability, especially for international users.

    Current problem:
Reading emails in foreign languages requires copying content into external services like DeepL or Google Translate. This interrupts workflow, increases friction, and creates unnecessary dependency on third-party tools.

    Real-world use cases:

International communication: Users receiving emails in English, Finnish, German, etc. need fast translation to understand content instantly
Newsletters & services: Many newsletters and automated emails are not localized
Business & work: Professionals communicating across countries need quick, reliable translations
    Privacy-conscious users: Copying…

  20. Proton Keyboard Inspired By Swiftkey

I’ve been thinking that a Proton keyboard would be a total game-changer. Imagine something with the sleek design and smart suggestions of SwiftKey, but built by a team that actually respects privacy. It would be great if the app allowed us to toggle data storage for word predictions on or off, so we get the convenience of a smart keyboard without feeling like our every keystroke is being tracked.
