Proton Browser
Proton Browser
I would Like to see a Browser like chrome, firefox, or Brave. But without the tracking and also it being based in the same location as protonmail would mean its secure and safe to use.
With companys like google buying up all the alternative browsers I think this a needed program/app. What good is the secure email when Chrome is snap shoting and keylogging your protonmail logins.

No need. There is Iridium Browser already.

there are already open source and relatively secure browsers. that would be a huge effort and it would divert time and money from other more relevant tasks. what is next - a new OS?

One more suggestion would be to allow to connect to open VPN or TOR through that browser easily.

You should just go with Brave, honestly.

I don't think they'll ever challenge themselves with that daunting task.
Regarding the sentiments and upvotes for this you guys should try out https://www.brave.com/ it seems everything everyone is wanting and more.
In 2018 its necessary fixes and issues without a doubt will be fixed and are still to implement a number of suggestion by its users but I think this will be met within this year. It's amazing to see how far they've come.
Honestly try out Brave and you won't bother upvoting this topic any more.
One other thing they're in the process of implementing TOR on a per-tab-basis (TPB) Tor Private Browsing

Firefox in private mode, Tor web browser, Brave. These browsers should do the job.

свой браузер не актуален, да и затратно это...

This is an interesting idea. It would be interesting to having mail and VPN service being integrated into a browser.
Since Brave already has some of the features you listed, it would be nice to see Brave and the Proton team working together. -

ProtonVPN was already a terrible idea (https://www.vpnmentor.com/vpn-comparison/nordvpn-vs-protonvpn/).
Please, be humble and do not try to develop a web browser !!! -

My feeling is that this would be a terrible idea. There are many browsers available, and as many have mentioned FireFox with extensions and configuration changes can be made highly secure and private
In addition, this would require a huge allocation of resources to develop and constantly maintain, resulting in other initiatives being delayed. How would this be financially possible? -would people pay for a browser wnen there are so many free options?

Tor, Firefox, and privacy? The comments here lead me to believe many of you truely do NOT understand what we are trying to accomplish when we speak of privacy, security, and remaining anonymous.

Would probably rather see the Proton team see if they can colloborate with the developers of the Brave browser, which has the same goals

4. Enjoy.Or use Tor.

I didn't even mention Tor. 🙄

Where's the downvote button? We’ve already got a bunch of great browsers to choose from. Chrome and Firefox can be configured to protect your privacy by tweaking the settings and installing extensions. Safari protects your privacy by default and can be enhanced with additional tracking blockers. Then there are smaller browsers like Brave, specifically designed for this purpose.

Is the Epic browser no good?

There’s already a very good option with firefox quantum. Add ublock origin, privacy badger and https everywhere for enhanced privacy
No need for ProtonMail to divert so many resources to duplicate existing solutions
If you are on IOS, install Purify or 1Blocker -

Maybe you should pair up with cliqz.
