Proton Browser
Proton Browser
I would Like to see a Browser like chrome, firefox, or Brave. But without the tracking and also it being based in the same location as protonmail would mean its secure and safe to use.
With companys like google buying up all the alternative browsers I think this a needed program/app. What good is the secure email when Chrome is snap shoting and keylogging your protonmail logins.

Does it work without an internet connection? Once the page has fully loaded, you can use this online age tool entirely offline all calculations run locally in your browser with no internet required. https://agefinder.org/#general Fonts and icons load from external CDNs and may fall back to system defaults offline, but the core calculation works without any connection.

December 18, 2017? Proton, it's critical that you develop a browser yesterday.
I couldn't agree with CD more. His observations are mine.
Proton, would you give us an update. How far off or near before we can test run a Proton browser?
Looking forward to hearing your update.

8 think it is now vital to develop more European applications. Decoupling from US dependency is now a strategical priority for the EU.

I do think a browser would be a glorious contribution to the proton ecosystem!
I think a good pitch would be a browser that sacrifices on neither speed nor extensive privacy protections, all while being lightweight and using Firefox's source code!

Yes PLEASE. The whole proton exosystem is amazing but just another browser would push it to a whole other level. I would love to see its integration with the fellow proton products and Lumo whould actually be great there!!!!!!!

YES, PLEASE PROTON - please develop your own privacy browser that integrates with the Proton ecosystem. I'm about to leave Safari (laptop) and Edge (desktop) for the Brave browser but I'd prefer if Proton had its own browser that integrated with the other Proton services I use daily.

I use Brave the most and I'm waiting for Kagi's Orion for GNU/Linux and Windows.
If it will be better that Brave, I agree. -

I would like to suggest that Proton considers developing a privacy-focused web browser as part of the Proton ecosystem.
A Proton Browser with full support for modern browser extensions would be extremely valuable, especially if it integrates natively with existing Proton services such as Proton Pass, Proton VPN, and Proton Account.
Key points:
Privacy by default (no tracking or telemetry)
Full support for browser extensions
Native integration with Proton Pass (passwords, aliases, passkeys)
Optional Proton VPN integration per site or per tab
Cross-platform support (Android and desktop)
Many Proton users are actively trying to reduce their dependency on Google and other big-tech ecosystems. A Proton Browser would provide a strong private alternative and further strengthen Proton as a complete privacy-first platform. -

I think firefox based browsers are already good. Proton shouldn't expand their ecosystem too much because the more they spread, the easier it will be to introduce vulnerabilities by mistake while at the same time making the company a bigger target for hackers

I find this idea interesting only if it's based on the Firefox engine, we do not need more chromium skins

As long as we will have to wait for a Proton Browser, it would be great to have the services available on a website and/or plugins for more browsers. I use DuckDuckGo and would love to see Proton here - or change to the Proton browser. Thanks for all the great work you do!

As echoed by other users, introducing a privacy‑focused browser would be a highly valuable extension of the Proton ecosystem. While I recognize that resources are limited, exploring strategic collaborations to deliver a privacy‑first browsing experience (whether developed in‑house or through partnerships with Firefox or reputable competitors like Mullvad) would substantially enhance user trust and be greatly appreciated.

Come on Proton! The request is posted 8 years ago, please follow up on this. We, users, would love to have a complete eco system at Proton. Browser, Mail, Calendar, Contacts, Drive, VPN etc that would completely replace the native apps of Apple (macOS and iOS), Android and Windows. It's even save to say that people would pay for it.

I currently use DuckDuckGo! but would love to see them flying under the Proton banner. Perhaps a deal could be struck since DDG is working so hard at keeping the trackers out of our lives.

To challenge the technological monopoly of the browser engine, we are the Global Alliance for Browser Engine Freedom. We call upon Proton AG—a recognized leader in fighting Big Tech—to leverage its influence and resources to structurally support the development and adoption of a third, viable, and truly open-source browser rendering engine, thereby making genuine privacy-by-default on the web a technological reality, not just a policy position.

Hello to the entire Proton team. My suggestion for the Proton ecosystem is to create a browser entirely focused on privacy, security, and lightness. The goal is to build a browser that outperforms competitors like Brave and Via Browser, combining the best of both: robust privacy/security and a lightweight, fluid experience with advanced ad-blocking. I strongly believe this would attract a large audience, as people seek the practicality and security that are already associated with your brand.
