secure notes? add-on to calendar or separate would be great.
I would love to see Proton Notes, separate app. I know Proton suggests to use Standard Notes, but they really do not look good, and really pricey for just notes..
Take a look at Mega.
Let us edit text files directly in Proton Drive and spare yourselfs all work needed to maintain one MORE app.

end to end encrypted and the ability to self host would be nice
I'm currently using Walling, which is fantastic in possibilities and design. But it's not encrypted. I've looked at Standard Notes and that looks okay, but the price is more than I'm willing to spend on a notes app (higher than Walling which has more functionality except for the encryption).
Proton Notes makes a ton of sense.

Yes please? This is needed!
A robust note app like OneNote would be awesome.
This would be the feature that could divorce me from Microsoft / OneNote. Would need a web clipper function for FF at release.
I would accept less privacy (access to metadata) to have a great "search" function
Dynalist, but encrypted
I love Standard Notes, but while the free plan is missing a lot of functionality, the paid plan is in my opinion way too expensive. I would love to have a comparable application from Proton!

With Evernote taking a tailspin, and not wanting to pay Onenote for flashiness and let Microsoft sell my data....
...yeah the faster you create a Proton Notes you'll have market share increase very quickly i bet, and have a full suite of offerings.

I would really love to have Markdown support and to be able to work/collaborate with other users in my plan.
I currently use and love Joplin, but would like this functionality in the cloud with encryption
Proton Notes would be the final feature I would need before deleting my gmail account. You can shamelessly copy everything from keep.google.com. It is simple yet feature rich and useful.
I am waiting for this Notes application for so long. Make sure you develop a good robust full of features like OneNotes app. There is no app like OneNote in the whole web till this day.
I and we will be very thankful to you. even charge us for that.
YES! I currently use OneNote because its the best free option with free sync. I love how it works, so something like that open source would be fantastic
Box.com has the ability to add Boxnotes, which are quick text files that you can add to your drive storage folders. Currently i have to open a text note and save it to the folder. With Boxnotes, I can go to a folder and add a boxnote without having to open word or the notepad and then save it. Its a small feature, but a handy convenience.

Once a notes app and reminders app are created I would be able to get rid of apple completely!

Create a notes app equivalent to apples notes app. With the same features and connectivity.

add a note tool in the drive, to note some notes on the go.
A note app like OneNote would be perfect for me. Obviously it should have integration with Drive, Mail and Calendar.
I currently use Simplenote. It's fine for quickly jotting down something or when making a shopping list.
Adding a simple text-edit feature to Proton Drive, making the editing process more streamlined for users like myself who migrating from Google Drive, would be excellent. I'd expect it to be fairly straightforward to add, but I don't know much about what implementing that would look like.
