https://turtlapp.com/ may be of interest for note taking. Free/open source, and encrypted too.

I will switch from Dropbox and GDrive immediately if you have cloud storage. And I will pay. I know many small businesses that will change. G Suite is great for non-sensitive documents. But for privacy and sensitive legal documents and important financial information I don't trust Google or Dropbox (or iCloud).

Until this comes, I use boxcryptor for end-to-end encryption of my google drive files. Both are free. So, a ProtonBox would be competing against that - so make it awesome, please.

google note is for me the best note app in the market at the moment. Sadly not secure. It would be nice if you could do that.

This service is fantastic ....... I say this after (and still) experiencing the effects of your email and phone being compromised ....

Simple note taking /lists feature (like iOS "notes"). Also ability to add your own contact card /aliases

I wish Protonmail had a container where I could put encrypted text notes.

If you will ever develop a service like Dropbox or Google drive , we would definitely like it & use.

Hello. Very pleased to discover that this is such a requested feature. I am myself waiting for this to move all my gmail account to protonmail. Any idea of when this could be made available?

Cant wait for that!

Prefer Google Keep to Gmail task list.

Oh, yeah... and I was thinking. A local storage (on one's own PC) would be a way to go. What I think someone mentioned below. A way to backup or move email off of Protonmail to free up space. For example... an option to "archive" email older than XX days to a local drive perhaps in a zipped and password protected file. So maybe an option that allows this on a either, or both, local or one of the cloud storage places. I'd imagine you maybe can be paid if people open up a new cloud account with whoever you partner and integrate with. So a potential income there.

Isn't Box.com more secure than Dropbox? Btw, pCloud.com gives you 10GB free, five times what Dropbox gives.

Please, please, please only do this when there is a good integration story. I would hate to see ProtonMail lose its Gmail-likeness and turn into Outlook Web.
I would like to see native desktop clients with a virtual disk features that shows all attachments ever received/sent. That would be so much better than the constant uploading and downloading... Labels could function as sub-folders.
With builtin versioning, the user could even edit a document inside a folder like /Volumes/ProtonMail/Work/Presentation Monday/ and have it suggested as attachment when replying to the email in question.

Yes, that would be an interesting one. At the moment I'm using Tresorit to cover that functionality. I'd be in favour to have a paid service that provides the email, contacts, storage, calendar, ... services like Google, but respecting my privacy.

Please support Markdown/Multimarkdown or various markup languages for the Notes folder.
Actually supporting it product-wide would be even better.

I suggest integrating OWNCLOUD as an additional feature into the Protonmail Infrastructure. It's proofed and opensource. (https://owncloud.org/)

Convert a protonmail account in a one that you can use with youtube, google, etc...
Or create a cloud storage like Google Drive, but a "Proton Drive" or something like that. -

I agree. A notepad system where I can choose to encrypted notes (and maybe even share a note with other ProtonMail users) would be great along with a full Calendar system with reminders/tasks could really make me live out of ProtonMail.
