Phone Number alias / masking
It would be nice to have a app from Proton which gives a virtual phone number. (Like Google Voice)

If a company like Hushed can do it Proton can. Either buy out hushed or aquire your own way of making a VOIP. If I could ditch Hushed / Google Voice I would and come to you. Having a burner number to forward calls / texts / VM's to my real number would be awesome protection. Please look at implementing this!

Proton Voice, like Google Voice. Google lets you purchase your phone number and use it over WiFi. This would be a wonderful addition!

I'd like to have a Phone Number Alias, exactly just like Email Alias but with phone number.
I love the email alias feature, and think keeping my phone number 'hidden' with some other number would be very useful -

I use Cloaked solely because Proton does not offer this. I would REALLY like for them to add this as it would make my life much easier.

This is a nice idea, but technically, it is much more complicated than any other feature Proton has built or is in the process of developing. Even if they make it possible, the price will be too high to make sense and will have many limitations depending on the country and services or other cellar networks you are going to call - they will automatically trigger a Spam/Scam call rule.

This is the next step towards a privacy suite, together with a profile and card aliasing.

I’d really like to see some of the features like Cloaked has. I know that Proton already has a lot of the features similar to the site I mentioned above.
Phone numbers is a big one for me. I mean, there’s only so much you can do with third-partyapps phone numbers.

Proton VOIP would be revolutionary and this is one of my most wanted features, both for number masking in general as well as 2FA that doesn't support authenticator apps.

This would be awesome! However, I do think that getting ongoing issues fixed first before adding new ones is most important! ;)

The proposed solution has our unequivocal endorsement. Existing security measures, like the Cloaked platform, provide mechanisms to shield email addresses and telephone numbers. Nevertheless, if the Proton suite were able to deliver this capability as a service, it would markedly diminish the chances of spam, phishing attacks, and account takeovers in the event of a website breach.
