While deGoogling, a repository for proton apps for f-droid would increase security while apps update management would be signicant improved

I would love to see all Proton apps at F-Droid. It is so much better than Google Play.

Would very much be appreciated if all Proton services can be downloaded from F-droid like how Proton VPN is currently available on F-droid.

I use GrapheneOS.
The only easy ways I found to get my mails without the Gman is via Aurora Store or a WebBrowser. Either way, you can forget about notification.
Why not extend the ProtonMail bridge to phone so that *we can use third party apps and have some sort of working solution ?
*we meaning the people that don't wanna use Google.

The current version of the Proton Mail app does not work at all on CalyxOS. Even the downloaded versions through Aurora or from https://protonapps.com. It just quits without even an error message. After years on the Visionary plan, that makes me think to quit ProtonMail for good.

I agree very much. I think a lot of people who use Proton and try to avoid Google's products would also be the kind of people who use F-Droid instead of Google Play. I can imagine the fact that Proton's products aren't in the F-Droid repository would be a huge drawback, especially to people using custom roms.

Proton as a company just trying make money out of selling the word "Private/Privacy" in reality they are just as bad as Google, Yahoo or Apple when comes to privacy. Their main focus is grabbing market share only. No focus on "making internet private". Bogus company.

Aurora Store, you won't get push notifications though since you don't have GSF, GMS, and Google Play.

You claim to be more secure than Big Tech but then you send us to Big Tech to download your app? That doesn't make sense at all.
It makes even less than No sense, knowing that you could offer your app through F-Droid.

I wholeheartedly agree with this. I've just received the "Get started with ProtonMail and increase your storage for free" promo mail and was interested in trying the mobile app, but I will NOT use GooglePlay so haven't installed it. A privacy-focused service like ProtonMail should unquestionably be available on F-droid.

I can use "Aurora store" app to download Protonmail from the google play store. But the app protonmail doesn't work fine : there are not push notifications, although i have activated them on my phone's settings...

There is not a bit of google binary/services/dependacy of google.

Fdroid must be given priority and /or direct download from protonmail website

With the new 2021 Fire HD 10, which can be used with keyboard and laptop mode. It has Microsoft Office and many productivity application. Using Protonmail may simply replace my computer in receiving and sending emails. While it is secure, I do not prefer any mod to existing and original rom and settings. Safer.

Please have ProtonMail available in Amazon AppStore

Amazon Fire Tablet does not have Google Play natively. To install apk from other source generate more risk and there may be unknown usaibility issue. Install apk of other source would break warranty of Fire tablet as well.

As both Google Play and Amazon AppStore are based on Android, it is helpful if you put PotonMail to Amazon AppStore.
