Allow me to set auto-delete trash to X number days/months/years

I like the auto-delete feature for the trash, but I would like to keep things in my trash for longer then 30 days.

Please provide more options or allow me to set a custom time period for auto-delete.

    I would actually like to be able to make it shorter, like 14 days.

    I agree that 30 days is quite short and I don't use the feature because of that. It would be nice if there were options for say 60 or 90 days or even a custom number.

    Is it possible to define a setting to automatically delete messages that have been in trash and spam after # number of days? The default 30 days is to small, I would rather define much more days, such as 180 or 365 days.
