Desktop App themes
It would be great to have the option for themes on the desktop app (this is available on the web version). I use the Proton theme, but the desktop app only seems to have a light mode.
Any chance we'll get more customization on the colors?

This would be so useful, I got used to monokai dark theme on the browser, but now that I use the app it is not available, it actuually feels a little wired.

As a minimum the app themes should be the same as the web themes, which till now they are not. I like the default proton theme, but is not available in the mail app

Yes, please! The desktop app for Windows is quite bland.

It would be great, if all themes from the Web app were also available in the standalone Proton Mail Windows application.
Are there any reasons, that you did not adopt the themes? Personally, I use the "Monokai" theme in all my web app instances.

Please add the option to use or switch to a light mode in the Windows app. So many emails don't look right in dark mode, and I prefer reading emails using a white background.

Make same the display/appearance options that are available on the web version available on the desktop app for MacOS. The muted tones of the 'Legacy' appearance in the web version is one of the visual features I like most about Proton Mail. I'd love to have the same option in the desktop app. It is uncomfortable for me to look at the desktop display as it is now.

Dark mode just like the website application would be great if it was added to the protonmail desktop application,as dark mode for many is much easier on people's eyesight than bright white.
Even having the option of picking themes as you have on the website version would be great, just not the bright white as it is far too straining for many people giving them eye pain in turn. -

I Also, use the Proton theme on the web site. For ease of use I would like to use the same theme on the app. Thanks

I have sensitive eyes due to medical conditions and the dark theme is just way more comfortable (I use dark themes everywhere I can). I'd love to use the desktop app but right now I really can't. Please consider pushing this to the top of the list for the next release.

I would just love to have the ability to change the theme to the one I currently use in browser. The default in the app is just way to bright in my opinion.

Dark themes have better contrast and are easier on the eyes. They make apps more useful less painful to look at. Colorful labels pop better in the dark too.

I would love to use the new desktop app, except there isn't an option to change the Theme.
The Chrome browser app offers a dark or light theme, which makes using the app more appealing since the background isn't overwhelmingly bright white. The desktop app doesn't offer this same dark "Theme" option under the appearance tab.
Please consider adding it to your desktop app! Once added, I will definitely use that version instead of the Chrome browser.

This is definitely a dealbreaker issue for me in deciding whether to upgrade for continued use of the app.

Please add the Theme feature to the new Proton Mail Win Desktop App. It's not currently under the Appearance section. Especially the Carbon mode.

As an addition to the existing themes, it would be much appreciated to have the ability to automatically switch between Proton’s various Light/Dark themes automatically based on the system’s/browsers themes, just like the mobile apps do.
Right now, the theme on web clients does not adjust automatically in this way.
