I just started using Proton for personal and work. I converted my entire company and all the users. The calendar app on Android isn't great, but worse is it Not having a TO Do list function. I have used aCalendar on Android for Years! The Calendar app and integrated TO Do list are awesome. Please add TO Do lists to Proton Calendar and consider updating calendar app w features from aCalendar... I see searching on Proton calendar app has been asked for for years! Also, on aCalendar you can switch the days swiping up and down and views swiping right or left.Super user friendly. Proton Calendar is a pain to switch views having to go to the menu first. Too many clicks. Proton Calendar upgrades which have been requested for years .. why no response? Agree w others... make basic functions available bf AI stuff.

I have been looking for a replacement for Outlook and I cannot find a good task manager. I really like the fine granularity to make recurring tasks. Also, I agree with all the other comments you should be able to export your task data, to include recurring information, in a standard format. To be honest, I really don't know what the standard format is. I have seen all types of exports. No standard like vcard or ics. Maybe you create standard that captures all the task data, recurring frequency etc. I have over 188 tasks that recur. PS. Trying to get complete off of Windows, it is hard because of the apps I need.

Hey proton team, In the last calendar roadmap you mentioned again that this feature was in development. What is the current status? Thanks!

TODO LIST FUNCTIONALITY MUST BE BASED UPON AN OPEN FILE FORMAT--NO PROPRIETARY FILE FORMATS!!!
Some structured form of plain text so that 3rd party and user programs can access the data directly. Proprietary formats are for Microsoft and the like. Proton should focus on low-level data storage and security first and foremost. Getting the existing Proton products fixed-up so they are not so tedius [and not so complex to setup and use by non-technical users] should be the focus in the near term. API-level access to all app functionalities of Proton products should be the norm.

+1 !
It would be really great to have a to-do list app included in the suite (even a basic one to start with :)) -

This one product would kill the market. Other todo apps are in the gutter, they're terrible. Just make a basic, functioning todo list app and you'll eat them alive.
Oh, and it takes a lot less engineering than managing AI ****. Build features that your users are actually begging for, on this forum.

I use a to-do list in Notesnook, and in Proton Calendar I mark important events by timing, where I definitely need to receive a notification. But a separate to-do list and notes would be great, I would move away from Notesnook and create tables in Proton Sheets.

Personally, this is one of the main friction points for me switching from G Workspace to Proton. My workflow consists on taking advantage of the right side bar when working on emails and spreadsheets, as I can easily add tasks along the way as I work.
I also use Google Keep, but my main to-do-list app is Google Tasks (and Apple Reminders for personal stuff).
There's this one feature from MS Outlook that I really like also, which is that whenever I flag an email, it would auto-populate in my To Do, reminding me that there was something about said email that I had to address.

I would like it to be shareable so others in my "Family Plan" can see and edit specific shared lists.

My data is secured on proton but I'm still using To do list from Microsoft. It contains a lot of information on what i'm doing. I could use standard note but it's not easy to use for reminder. The main need is to store action with a reminder date. We have the proton pass & calendar. This is for me the missing link to avoid storing private data while being able to track all the small tasks.

I use TickTick. I've tried many to-do apps, and TickTick outshines them all. I agree with Joseph Tyler that I'd rather pay Proton for an encrypted version. If Proton makes a to-do app that doesn't have the same functionality as TickTick, I'd probably use that new app for certain things but keep TickTick as my main, because it has everything I need from a notes & to-do app.

I miss that a lot.
It would be so important if there was a Proton Tasks.
