Hi, relaying a AMA post from Reddit, Andy Yen says that aquistions are likely to be the exception rather than the norm because of the difficulty. Simplelogin and SN are more than enough, and 2025 is going to be a year of refinement rather than new features being thrown out. Thanks

I’d love to suggest looking into acquiring Ente, the company behind Ente Photos and Ente Auth. Both tools align perfectly with Proton’s values and would strengthen your ecosystem.
Ente Photos is a mature, end-to-end encrypted photo platform—something Proton Drive doesn’t yet fully cover. It would offer users a true private alternative to Google or iCloud Photos.
While Proton now has Proton Authenticator, Ente Auth is more polished and feature-rich today. Acquiring it could help fast-track improvements and reduce fragmentation across your apps, especially alongside Proton Pass’s TOTP support.
Ente shares Proton’s privacy-first vision and high technical standards. This move would help Proton deliver a uniquely complete and cohesive privacy suite.
